On the challenge being both for rewards & immunity I think it was due to the fact that Sue left at the previous rewards challenge this one is for both as I think this was supposed to be the immunity for that episode originally & production just decided to make this one both, as usually Survivor gives evacuations & quits their own episodes. On the Colby elimination I feel like getting Colby out is a double edge sword. while Colby is a physical threat at merge since everyone knows how much of a threat he is once merge happens he would always be the first target at the merge to go out. If by any chance let's say they happen to say mistime the merge a bit Moga Moga could happen to go down an even bigger numerical standpoint as they lost their strongest challenge player. Normally I would agree that is best to take out your strongest physical threat before merge but with in this case of Colby is different since how well known it is that Colby is a physical threat in the game compared to on an all-newbie season.

I think they wanted to take Colby out now as he could potentially win the solo immunities, as he has form for doing. I think it was a smarter choice pre merge because could have just wiped them clean away with the challenges later.

It really sucks about how many favorites go early this season. I mean it makes sense but ughhhhh. 😭
