I think it’s more to do with the fact you see people on TH-cam doing this all the time, dropping money to see if people are honest or not. He’s obviously upset that (he believes) Juan might think he’s a thief that will just take the money, and doesn’t appreciate being part of a ‘social experiment’.
When he realised that although it was for a video, it wasn’t a social experiment one like that, his mood completely changed as he realised Juan didn’t think he was a thief.
People can take a lot, but many people with integrity don’t like that integrity being called into question.
