Here is a track that was an amazing collaboration from some wonderful musicians for a very special and influential drummer in our lives, Mr. Cedric Sharpley.
Cedric's drumming was a massive part of Gary Numan’s sound and his playing on hits like 'Cars' - 'This Wreckage' and 'Films' was a HUGE influence on me and a whole generation of up and coming drummers.
Now move on quite a few years and one day the amazing Stephen Roper put out an idea about composing a song using sounds from outer space.
From there this track was born and Stephen invited us all to contribute,
* Robert Dean: Guitar
* Christopher Payne: Violin/Piano
* Andrew Coughlan: Fretless Bass
Each of these amazing musicians added a touch of class to this soundscape, and then to top it all we get this wonderful video from Mr. Frank-Edouard Woznaik.
So, this track is dedicated to the memory of the fantastic Cedric Sharpley and the drumming bursary that has been set up to help young drummers get tuition for a full academic year.
