I like this horrifying idea that Papyrus let the other souls go, but absorbed you and died with you trapped in his body. Making his melted goo a prison you'll never escape. Kind of like how when Chara died with Asriel, they couldn't reset. So he let the other Souls Free, but swallowed you and died.
Honestly, that's kinda messed up, but when you really consider the entirety of dusttale and its au counterparts, it's basically what the player deserved. Endless purgatory with no way out.

@@HydrapleMortar64yeah, literally nothing stated normal monster can't handle it and only Boss Monster Could, they might think of moment of Normal Monster became Amalgamated but that because they're injected with Determination and while it coming from the Human Soul, it should be obvious both getting DT artificially and Absorbing Human Soul are very different thing

That's acutally really unsettling at 24:45 where Papyrus just looks like a god for a second but it then just has a fake out and Papyrus loses it, also this is probably the only good use of AI, really depicts the blurry mind scapes of someone going insane.
the remake did phase 3 so much better than the original, and pretty much everything. although it kinda sucks they cut out the backstory/flashback scene in-between phase 1 and 2

The moment papyrus took the souls it woudnt have been a fight but an execution photoshop flowey literally can toy with a LV19 frisk in neutral just the same as LV1 thats just worthless Hell the one time he attacks for real at the end of the fight he oneshotted frisk multiple times in one second being too fast for them to even see the attack Here all papyrus has to do is attack once and the human is gone with papyrus being in control of the timeline because 6 souls are far more than one in terms of DT
I really liked the first two phases but I was disappointed with the last phase, it lost its eerie and fucked up feeling. I felt anxiety and uncertainty of what had become of Papyrus when I played the old Dustbelief third phase. The attacks are very creative I will admit, but it felt out of place. He also doesn't lose the souls that made him into a monster in the first place which caused him to absorb DT (and then presumably dies due to said DT causing him to fall down).
I think during the Cyan attack where it tells you Warping grants temporary Invulnerability you were supposed to damage boost through the bones to click them in not 10 minutes.
I would say i will choose the og phase 3 rather than this one. This version phase 3 music is just not giving the creepy vibe. The og one just much more uneasy

Im pretty sure the original even used a single cutscene that was ai messing with a image of papyrus as well
