Omg THANK YOU for showing how you part and twist the front. Whenever I watch twisting/braiding tutorials, they never show how they part the front and that’s what I have trouble with. Making the front look nice and presentable.
I seriously appreciate you explaining the install part .(twisting each side) because I’ve watched countless amount of TH-cam videos with rubber band method and crochet method, but I wasn’t really feeling those, but this right here! I can do this 👏🏽👏🏽, I’m so excited to try these now! I’m doing it this weekend!
After seeing so many tutorials on passion twists I decided to try it myself. I did it this weekend. Most of them were loose at the scalp so I had to redo quite a few of them. It didn't take long to install but I feel like if I touch them too much a few might fall out. Great tutorial! I wasn't able to twist them into my hair so i started with the braiding then ended with twists.
I'm glad you tried them! The key to getting it tight at the root is to twist both sides enough times before you twist the two together. Either way, I'm glad you gave it a shot!!!
Thank you! I'm so happy you're going to try it and sending lots of love to the mama's young and old trying new things to make themselves feel awesome😊😊
Very pretty! And very clear tutorial, good job! You made me feel like it wouldn't be so daunting to try this😓 I just might in the next few weeks... months lol, we'll see !
This is the best and easier than any other videos I've seen. I like that you don't use the rubber bands or that little hook. I am definitely feeling more confident about doing it my self. I purchased everything months ago but I was kinda nervous to do it myself. Thanks so much for sharing😉😚
Totally loving this style.... recently cut my locs after 20 years and am currently sporting a crochet look- however, whereas Pre-loc, I was cool with the crochet, now? Not so much! So once crochet is out, I look forward to trying this out. Thank you for this!! It looks all the way fabulous ❤️
Thanks so much! I hope you get a chance to try it out, tag me on insta if you do😉 P.S I can't believe you cut your locs after so long!! New you in 2019 sis!!
I’m glad I stumble across this video because I got passion twists a few days ago but two of them became a lil loose and I need to know how to redo them
Hey! Thank you!! About a month and a bit. Some girls were saying they like when it gets frizzy so if you like that too then you can go even longer! Thanks for watching girly💕
My own hair kept popping out and I used shine jam and eco but mostly then ends of my hair kept popping out, would edge control be better, ty I just love your voice
Hey! You're sweet, thanks😄 I'm pretty sure I was doing my voiceover at 3AM🤦🏾♀️ Sometimes your ends will pop and that's ok! It's not meant to be a perfect style!! There is a "tucking" method that is a bit more challenging to master but as you twist, be mindful of having your hair mixed in with the rest of the hair and/or possibly on the inside on the twist. Worst case scenario, if your hair is popping out but has gel or edge control it will look smooth and bohemian anyway!
Yes actually! You're twisting in the same direction but the twists are going away from each other, hope that makes sense! Glad you liked the finish product
I had to rewatch like, “Am I trippin or is it the same direction?” I had to look at the comments for confirmation, so thanks. But, I understand what she means, just a bit more confusing for me to say it that way. ☺️
Dogs are "bitches". She's not. It's a shame females and gays refer to others as "bitches". Nothing endearment about that word at all and if anyone believes so, they've been brainwashed just like society intended. We're better than that, we're QUEENS.
Hi, new viewer. Lol. I have a question. I'm considering wearing this for Spring Break week. Water may be involved, and I can't guarantee that I will be wrapping my hair up every night. But when using this method, does your hair eventually peek through/swell/come undone?
Hey! I think it depends om the type of hair. I don't find that this hair soaks up a lot of water and people in comments of my other videos have said they have gone swimming and been fine. Keep in mind that your natural hair will start to revert when water touches it. I hope that info helps!!🤞🏽
Hello! Loved the video! I was wondering how many packs of each color did you use? Did you ever mix a 1b/30 strand with a 30 strand? Just trying to figure out how you got your coloring, it looks great!
Heyy! I used 5 packs of 1B/30 and 4 packs of the other colour. I don't think i mixed them at all but yes - I love the colour as well! Thanks for watching💕
I LOVE this hairstyle! I'm looking to do this soon! Do you have suggestions on where to buy the hair? Also what is the name of the Finesse remix you have playing in the background? It's AWESOME!
Heyy! If you're in the U.S checkout the comments below - a lot of girls shared where they bought the hair for around $5-$6! The song is the WhereIsAlex Edit. I hope your Passion Twists come out awesome! Thanks for watching💕
Cute I just love how everyone has their own way of doing this and they all look so lovely. Do stop by my end also and check out how my New Passion twist technique came out. Thank you sis
yo that's a nice little natural hair hack.. i hated when i parted with a comb and in the end the row was a hot mess!.. i have locs now so it doesn't apply but i'll be sure to remember that if/when i go back to loose natural hair
Yes! Once you attach it properly at the root the regular twist will stay in place on the way down! But it's all about the attachment at the root - after that - you're coasting!👌🏾
It looks like when you show us the first twist (around 6:00), you’re twisting both in the same direction (towards your face), and then when you put them together is when you twist them in the opposite direction (away from face). Your voiceover says differently, but it looks like both individual twisting is happening towards the face. Can you please clarify? Thanks!
@NaturallyEssence new subbbie here! Wow! You make it look so easy! I have ALWAYS wanted to know how to add extensions. One question: can this method of attaching the hair be used for other braid styles, like box braids?🤔🤔🤔
Heyy girl! Welcome🤗 You could definitely try buy because braids start off with three pieces, I would imagine the hair getting loose at the root once you transition from the two strands to the three🤔 That's a good question!
No actually they didn't. They started to loosen over time from growth and manipulation (pulling it into other styles) so I did re-touch them. Hope that helps🤞🏽💕
I've seen people do it with the braid first and that's fine! You just rely more on the texture of the twists to give you the style in that case so I'd say make sure you have the right texture hair to begin with!💕
Hey! Start at the nape of your neck, and part in a row across. Use a mirror and stand with your back towards another mirror so you can see. Keep parting in rows, using your fingers as a guide first, then using your comb to perfect the line. Make sure to always keep the rest of your hair sectioned away so it doesn't get in the way. Hope that helped!🤞🏽 DM me on Instagram for more questions! Good Luck with your Twists, and thanks for watching!💕
Hey, Yup! As long as you can attach it to a few inches of hair, you should have no issues👌🏾 I have aother passion twist video where I show all of the attachment methods. You can check that out too if you want to try the other ways👍🏽
Hey ! Someone had commented before saying not to cut the hair because it will unravel🤔 If you're ok with blunt ends held together with elastic bands then maybe?🤷🏾♀️ Sorry, can't think of a perfect solution. Good luck !💕

Hey! You could...just beware of tangles!
Do you think it'll turn out the same if I braid at the root and then twist instead of twisting at the root? I just can't get that technique down pat 🤦
