Wow 20 years. I had mine for 17 years. Original owner of a red 1988 si. I loved driving it...186k miles...it was the best car ever...nothing else compares to it.. I still miss it., but the north east winters took its toll on it...😭😭😭😭.
@@jazzythecat918 Im sorry to hear that. I recently checked the undercarriage of my Prelude (its a 97), and it looks to be in great shape. I DID purchase it from Florida back in 2001, and used to clean it twice a week myself most of the time. Now its usually garaged. Going to enjoy it, until I cant anymore. I busted my ass to get one when I was 22, and im gonna keep it.
@@Kantoh22 good for you. Mine was an everyday car parked on city streets. I did my best to take care of it, but the salt kills cars. The interior was minty looking while the outside ended up looking like a ghetto blaster. It was my first brand new car at 27. I saved for a long time and put half down when I bought it. It cost $17,500 brand new. I drove it into the ground. I loved it to death. Now that I have my own garage to keep it safe I'm looking to buy another one just like my old one....because it was best driving car I've ever been in. Haven't seen a prelude on the roads here in the northeast in years. Didn't see any when I've been to Florida either. Seems like they are mostly in Cali or Arizona.
@@jazzythecat918 Same here. It was my only car up until I bought a second one (Type SH) in 2010. Sold that one in 2012. They are wonderful cars. I have also rode in a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen. I wish I could have the opportunity to ride in a 1st. I love them all honestly. I hope you find the prelude you are looking for. Unfortunately as you said, winters and salt here are brutal. But maybe you will find one further out west, or more south. Who knows. 😊 Im sure you could make it happen. We obviously both love these cars very much, and worked hard to get them.
@@Kantoh22 wow you got lucky to ride in a few different generations. I've only ever been in my own lude and I never knew any one else who had one. I hope your right and I will get lucky and find one out west. My cousins just moved to Vegas from NYC. Who knows I might find one when I go visit them. Fingers crossed. If it's meant to be I'll find it.
It was amazing to be apart of Bay Area Prelude and SoCal prelude meets. Meeting so much people with the same affection as you is such a good feeling. 💪🏻💪🏻
Damn. All those Ludes. I was happy to meet two more Ludes today, and one in the wild here in Arizona. Less than 59k BB6s sold and I imagine the ones surviving and not totaled are in Cali.
Well, I’m actually female…and not very young…Senior ‘89…..lol 🤨🤣 We have a 2000, and we had a ‘91 4WS. I miss her, sold when we moved to Las Vegas, but anyway…I dig your vibe…and all your meet ups are dope. You & your homies make me laugh. Thanks for all the smiles and Prelude inspiration. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. I’d love to see y’all if ya ever make it to Vegas. ✌🏽
@@DE-vs2xy Oh my goodness! This makes me so happy I really appreciate your message! We will definitely make it out to Socal soon and hopefully you can join us for a Prelude meet out there haha! Hopefully my car can make it out there tho 😅
Man I miss my 01 prelude with the mugen rep body kit . Almost pulled the trigger of buying onr out of nostalgic but not many good ones to choose from at the right price 😪 . Alot of beaters or a few high priced prelude for + 15k cad, which at that price range, their alot of better car to choose from.
I wish I was there. I'd pay someone to let me drive a 1988 si. I was the original owner of a 1988 red si black interior. Had it for 17 years...186k miles. I miss that car so much😭😭😭😭. It was amazing to drive and want to drive it again for old times sake.. I live in NYC and they have no clubs and I haven't seen a lude here in years.
So nice to see the Prelude Community growing!!!🙏🏻🔥🔥
THE NEW GENERATION IS HERE! HAHA
Damn. So nice to still see something like this after owning my prelude for 20 years this year. ✊🏽
