    Judy that's a great mug in the beginning of the video lol!! Also it sucks that you have to go back forth of something like mail, i wonder if scanning in can help out with that.

      I got the mug from fellow attorney youtuber Debtfree Dad, who had a giveaway. In that particular situation, I needed an original signed document to file at the courthouse, so scanning wouldn't have helped. Thanks for watching this too. Hope you are having a good weekend!

    Even though I love your livestream content, when you ask all the tough questions, I equally love your "Day in the life" videos. Shrug, maybe it's the voyeur in me. haha

      Ultimately I got that divorce granted with a WebEx hearing (& didn't catch covid after being packed into that courtroom). It was a relief!

    wow! such a hectic schedule. It sounds odd for the judge not to grant divorce.

    I didn’t know a judge can not grant a divorce. It must be a unusual case. I laughed when you ended up at Taco Bell. Hey I’m not against just getting a fast cheap lunch. I’m not a huge fan though if Taco Bell, my son tells me I have ordered the wrong things. I rather go to McDonald’s. Seems like this was a pretty busy day. This was fun, hope you have a great day!!!

      Sometimes Taco Bell is just right. I like the bean and potato burrito too. Ultimately the divorce was granted but that day there was some procedural issue. There are all these civil procedure rules & service requirements. Thanks for watching!

    It's ok...to when a summary judgment ...when the law favors the non summary judgement seeker that only has to have more than a mere scintilla of evidence. Hard to win 👍🏾

      Yeah... luckily later it settled!

      Thanks! A bunch of divorce cases have also settled since this was recorded. 😀

    How much time do you spend on a typical hearing? Isnt it so strange that sometimes it feels like everyone is reaching out to you on the same exact day. That moment when the bagel run turns into a Taco Bell run instead😂

    • @aalegalfocus
      @aalegalfocus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It depends on what the hearing is about. It could be 15 minutes for a brief motion or for a family law hearing, an hour or a whole day! Thanks for watching!

    Is your practice busy enough to justify hiring an assistant to take care of mundane tasks, like mail pick up?

    • @aalegalfocus
      @aalegalfocus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, I wouldn't pay someone to get my mail because I have to go to the office anyway. I have a part-time remote assistant who is a Godsend! Thanks for watching this!
