I feel like there are way too many problems regarding ranked mode atm. I think the fact that you either get stomped or stomp the other team speaks for itself on how bad it is. soloqueuing (and even just doing duos) is such a nightmare because you can end up against another team with a full stack of players which feels super unfair. Adding to that, it feels like there is a real gap in level disparity and people not knowing how to play. Like I can't count the number of times I ended up with teammates pushing mid like idiots on the defending rounds but not pushing at all when they were on attack (which ends up with the other team flanking us). I also think the "grading system" based on the number of kills you do doesn't help either and just encourage selfish plays with teammates getting greedy and not trying to cooperate because of it.
Strinova ranked will probably only be playable once the people stretch over a wider range of ranks. I tried playing ranked but decided ill only run unrated for now until everyone calms down. the only toxicity i got for beeing a woman was on ranked so yeah hope it gets better. On cn i really enjoyed ranked
Ngl climbing from substance to Molecule is a lot harder .. Best way is to get placed directly in molecule after first 5 ranked matches Been in Molecule 3 for a long time and I shifted the grind to challenge and not only the matches takes less time but the points are generous and now I'm in Emerald 5
@notxp Cuz the penality even in lower levels is so high almost equal to a win match.. I used to play CN too but it was way better.. The Molecule here feels like Gold in CN without team mates communicating ranked is hard
Personally I think the reason it is such a nightmare. Is because many people want to use characters that require 1 type of play style but they force them to be a different one. The best example I have experienced is Bai Mo. Essentially it has gotten to the point of, if I see someone pick Bai Mo I expect to lose. Cause he is a high skill aggressive unit that gets in, gets one kill, gets out, kind of character. But all I see them do is play extremely defensively. I have only seen 2 good Bai Mo's out of the 28 I have seen. Edit: 5:33 is a good example of utilizing a character's ability to its maximum potential for the situation.
I agree with this on top of people are still fighting for their ranks with higher skilled players still being in lower ranks with only top 10 Leaderboard being Plat 2 or lower atm. Also matchmaking is either on point or non existent you get matches where everyone in the match is same rank or higher, has meta teams and runs a close game then the next match you are the only one in your rank on your team with the rest being one or two ranks lower and leads to a mess of a match. Also i feel almost nobody utilizes tactical items the advantage to using interceptors and smokes well is huge.

Bai Mo is an opportunist, if you can’t capitalize on them or if your team can’t make any opportunities for you, bai Mo is a miss. A consistent bai Mo is one that works with his team.
I think the issue is that the top ranked players are ranked too low, the current top rankers are only in plat or gold, and since I've hit bronze I've been getting matched with some silver players and I recognize some of these names as plat and diamonds from when I played on the Chinese servers. So right now low ranks are a coin toss, then when you get matched up against silvers it's gonna feel like a completely different game, then if you rank up enough to match against golds good luck.
Yeah, I'm not even gonna bother playing ranked with randoms, just based on my experiences with them in casual. I swear not only do they never communicate, but they also shoot everywhere but the enemy in front of them.
Same here. I use Ming on attack and my team does not push hard to the site like I do. The ending, I end up alone with no support on the bomb site, enemies are able to flank them easily and our post plant setup is dog💩.
Biggest issue with ranked atm is still with the new NA audience its mostly just ppl getting used to the game and also queue times being long. It also dosent help the fact that soloq keeps queueing people into stacked/ pre made teams Majority of this issue has to be due to there not being as many people invested into ranked but id still give it another month to have ranked established
So... Strinova is NEW and it is seasons 1. If it is the first season means the ranks is not formed yet. This is also why Season 1 dont have much reward yet. Bronze-Sliver is a pretty good rank for season 1 since now I see the highest rank is Diamond 5 and that guy is the guy who coded the games. Some Sliver players are Diamond and Masters in CN severs. Also the numbers of players for the game is still very LOW making rank still very hard in lower cuz some are good but some are new which make a team has alot of civil war while the game punishes you if you team has civil war even more than Valorant.
tried to play tonight, had to go against the same full group TWICE!!! in a row while my team was full of unranked people when i'm in bronze... at this rate i might really drop the game if they don't fix the ranking system, it's just not fun and i don't know how the dev team didn't think of balancing that
FYI, it has not gotten better in CN server, if anything, it has gotten worse. Everyone is so fixated on Stat padding and often blames teammates for everything. If you open ur mic to tell him pls do sth, he may give up and do nothing for the rest of the game. The sniper problem also got worse because Kanami's limited skin. My advice is if your team does not support ur plays, just sit back and try to get picks instead of rushing. The opponent may rush and you can get free kills, this is at least better than rushing in with no help and dying.
ranked right now ion this game is very frustrating because of how the playerbase treats the modes, theres a LOT of people thinking that the challenge mode's ranks are their ranked rank, so they dont queue ranked! meaning there isnt a lot of players queueing ranked, which means ranking up to higher elos is taking FOREVER, and because of that, low elo is very coinflip, as many good players are in it theres also the fact that many new players DO queue ranked without knowing a lot about the game... we just have to be patient, thats about it w video also!!!

This should be NO SUPRISE to ANYONE in competitive, seasonal ranked game player. This is your average season start and even more so now when there is turbo noobs or turbo aim players, STARTING FROM 0. No mmr no nothing. Like its just a casual season start in valorant or league of legends? Just be patient and wait till the ranks even out…

I can almost be certain that ranked (at least placements) are super botted, my team is ALWAYS split while the enemy is super coordinated doing double flanks, flank watches, stacked pushes and their whole squad turn on me at the same frickin time when I fire my first shots from a flank. And yet no matter how hard I get destroyed they do not talk smack in chat, but my teammates do. Swear ranked is some sort of AI training, killed my whole enjoyment of this game when I realize most of my matches might just be bots. I am lvl 35 and my ranked W/L is 0/9. Been both svp and bottom frag, but it really don't make a difference as scoreboard is never really close, also, solo q being able to queue up against stacks is terrible design. I hope they fix this game
Kills and damage effect the amount of elo you gain way too much. People keep insta picking damage characters while not being able to hit any of their shots. Been so many matches where I was forced to play support and get -24 for losing just because I didnt get kills / damage even though I was fully doing my job as a support. The skill and synergy score legit means nothing lol.
i hope they make it like league of legends elo gaining although it wont happen, its tiring to see doing everything me giving information, supporting my team not even playing for kda now doing the shotcalling, just for me to win and get +15 like damn that's so unmotivating as heck.
I think the problem is on point you get and point you lose are pretty much same, i literally cant rank up cus i need to babysit these ppl and my win rate aint going up, my avarage win rate is like 2 win 3 lose or 1 draw so yeah im stuck here forever if this keep up... In the bata i was dropped into molecule II and then i won 10 games in a row and climbed up to atom IV. Now i'm stuck in molecule III for 20 games not climbing higher i even dropped to substance for 2 games
Ranked Strinova is 🔥 if you stop worrying about what rank you are and just focus on getting good at characters and winning fights etc. Plus it gives the most XP from what I can tell. Just know everyone is feeling it not just you, and have a good time.
Team composition is horrible. Trust me Fragrans with Celestia never goes well. To play effectively, attacking team needs at least one entry character, controller and scanner. If you wanna play fragrans, then just play 3 duelists and a scanner or 2 duels 1 controller 1 scanner. For defense team, always take Flavia and Michelle. Nobunaga excels when enemies heavily rely on their controllers. Currently the characters are locked behind this credit thing which you get only 300 every lvlup. People are forced to play bad comp.
Still struggling in Substance 3 (Yes Even Substance 3 is tough). I can't keep progress from the first week of the game released , still Substance 3 this time. I don't think i have bad play. I always play in the role that character should be .
solo/duo queueing ranked isnt that bad for me, i can climb pretty consistently and it just feels like longer games of challenge. the only thing really holding me back is trio q/ 5 stacking because most of my friends mains overlap. also i've noticed (for the most part) if youre matched against a stack while in solo/duo q the enemy team will likely be worse individually, assuming the game is trying to make up for the disadvantage that comes with random teammates.
In the video, I think you are match in a decent lobby. Your team and the enemy team are playing pretty well. Most missed plays are understandable as to why your team or enemy team fails some rounds. But yeah, the current rank mode in Strinova still needs some time for it to be more balanced. I have known the game since the first beta so I know how the game works, but when ranking I saw many games I got put in very new players teams, like trying to play solo, don't know about 'retreat' only just 'push'. There might be players from Valorant(As it is similar) and thought 1v5 in this game like 1v5 in Valorant. But yeah, the game needs some time, and at least my rank right now is high enough to see more normal matches, no longer either 0/9 or 9/0 like coin flip. Edit: Also in Valorant only just 1 person to be really good and that enough to carry you and the team. While in Strinova as I say, impossible to play solo like 1v5 except you so crack as sniper and 1 tap everyone. That made Strinova special or some says worst, than Valorant.
I had a team so bad they look like headless chickens running around and one person keep trying to push audrey with her torret on, and when we change to defend instead of defend they pushed the other team, even the other team had to tell them to noy push like that
Playing aggressive in low elo ranked matches is my go-to strategy and it worked most of the time. Learned it the hard way. Edit: HOLY! I didn't know Nobunaga's teleport has such range. 😱
Depends on who you are stacking with, I had a friend who plays so ass, I couldn't rank up at all with him. Once I solo queue, I ranked up from green to blue in 3 days
Especially on asia servers .. the matchmaking you select on lowest ping servers you have . They will still put you in a laggy server . Even tho you picked the lowest server . So whats the meaning of selecting the server? . Also even youre out of substance or iron .they still place you with teams that JUST GOT OUT OF LVL 15
Nah Im stuck In Molecule 3 just for this week . And I'm stress About it cause im always solo queue . So I decided just play challenge To study each map and character and play for fun and im try to reach diamond or until i confident to play in ranked
I still had fun atleast better than challenge mode, I would have more fun having all 10 players knows how to play the game and my teammate is just having bad luck to why we are losing rather than all of my team or enemy team don't know how to play and its just a steamroll match.
Was thinking should i try it but nah. I miss 70% of all my shots, don't want to be the weakest link. My last comp fps was around 2004 cs 1.6 back in school (maybe some Paladins in 2019) and you can't get away with free ability spam like in other hero shooters. You have to shoot better and who shoots better wins most of the times (guess people can say play smarter not harder). Funny enough eu server is 60-70% russians.
I had problem with the server, my server is Singapore (20-50 ms) and somehow after queuing my ping spike to 100-300 so somehow now im in korean server.

One strat if you are confident is to pick ming and just tell ur team to rush a site with you. It is the easiest strat to execute.

I still had fun atleast better than challenge mode, I would have more fun having all 10 players knows how to play the game and my teammate is just having bad luck to why we are losing rather than all of my team or enemy team don't know how to play and its just a steamroll match.

Was thinking should i try it but nah. I miss 70% of all my shots, don't want to be the weakest link. My last comp fps was around 2004 cs 1.6 back in school (maybe some Paladins in 2019) and you can't get away with free ability spam like in other hero shooters. You have to shoot better and who shoots better wins most of the times (guess people can say play smarter not harder). Funny enough eu server is 60-70% russians.

I had problem with the server, my server is Singapore (20-50 ms) and somehow after queuing my ping spike to 100-300 so somehow now im in korean server.
