I just started watching motorcycle racing in 2015, so Im coming back to catch up on old races. It is awesome to see EBC bikes in these AMA races. I was shocked to see them cuz we dont see them anymore with todays races. ....it was just cool to see something different than Japanese, Italian, German, or even British made bikes.
Why the hell does that matter? The quality of the commentary means more than the accent. In fact, it's the Brits that give outstanding motorsports coverage. Look at the SkySports, BBC, or Eurosport presentation of an F1 race, WSBK, MotoGP, etc. compared to what we get here stateside, and then come tell me about English commentator hate.
I understand what you mean mate, but it's not that he didn't leave the box that caused the penalty. The rule is, once the grid lights come on, no rider can MOVE/there has zero movement by all riders. So it doesn't matter if he left the box or not, Josh moved and that's enough to have a penalty (it's the exact same rule in WSBK and MotoGp).
I think if they are to give penaltys they should monitor the boxes with cameras each rows....the view here is crap I mean were in 2013 if starting half a sec and just jumping is such a big deal, why don't they monitor it properly..?
whether he stayed in the box is irrelevant, he moved, drive through penalty. Why its only 5 seconds is a mystery, 10 seconds at barber, crap officiating, obviously they want him to get that 4th title! If all you need to do at the start is not leave the box then why dont they all start a way behind the line, then you can get the bike in motion and storm the start. Or if the standing start is a bit complicated just let them go full indy and have a rolling start!

A real world class motorcycle racing production. Great sound and color.
excellent race... too bad for Roger... sucks that the uploads for almost a month behind... but I do appreciate them when they finally arrive
Jump-starts aren't only about leaving the box. If you have clear movement before the start, it's a jump.
#34 Danny Kelsey. Keep an eye on this guy. It's amazing to see him race with these guys on a stock bike.

@12:05 you can see he didn't leave the box ????

It's 5 seconds because that was what it was at Barber. Not sure where you're getting 10 seconds from. Google it.
Question: Why do Moto GP riders drop inside leg going into a corner, yet these guys don't?

i stand corrected, thank you. hardly seems much of a penalty!
lol

dam, 4.5secounds penalty which made no difference to the start. Badluck number 1 was a better rider.
Give me my American commentators... thanks...
