    I had to chase down some out-of-print KANSAS on Friday Music, but they are worth every penny! I have all of them! Such beautiful packaging, and the vinyl sounds better than any other pressings I have ever heard! I have always hoped Joe would release the 1997 album DARK DAYS IN PARADISE by Gary Moore. It has never had even one song released anywhere in the world on vinyl! If Joe could tie this in with THIN LIZZY it would be amazing. Joe is the best at what he does. His heart is into every release!!

      The FM Kansas albums are killer! It would be cool to see the Gary Moore album released alongside the Thin Lizzy titles. Perhaps Joe can make it happen! 🤞

      @@VinylLatte I would think (know) that only Joe could do DARK DAYS IN PARADISE the respect it deserves. I have messaged him about it, but he has so many artists he loves that come first. I have wanted DARK DAYS on vinyl so much, that I paid $240 to have it lathe cut onto 3 LPs! The regular release fits perfectly on 2 LPs, but since I was already spending the money on my favorite release of all time, I had the 5 bonus tracks from CD singles cut onto a 3rd LP. They are longer tracks but worked perfectly for quality. It is nothing like Joe would do, but at least I was able to drop a needle on this masterpiece. With so many THIN LIZZY and Gary Moore fans in the world, I know this would sell out right away. IF it ever becomes available on vinyl, I will have it pre-order the second I read about! And the icing would be if Joe and Friday Music released it.

      Thanks for sharing your story-what an incredible dedication to Dark Days in Paradise! It’s clear how much this album means to you. You’re right; pairing this release with Thin Lizzy would be a dream come true for so many fans. Here’s hoping that Joe and Friday Music might consider this masterpiece for vinyl someday. It’s fans like you that keep the momentum alive for these special projects!

    How about Partridge Family? They have been out of print since the mid 70s I would purchase every title by them that you release!

      I think The Partridge Family Album would perform well. Problem with a release like this would be its limited appeal. I’m not certain it would sell well, but I could be wrong. The single “I Think I Love You” did outsell the Beatles once upon a time. 🤷

    How about re-releasing the Partridge Family catalog. They sold more records than Bobby Sherman

      Agreed but I'm also very happy to see Bobby Sherman being released on vinyl again. He was a nice man to me when I was a kid so I'm buying them too

      @@johncicci917 agreed. I'm all for seeing his catalog reissued and hope they come with the original extras like the scrapbook from "The Scrapbook Album" .the portrait easel from "Portrait of Bobby"and the fold out poster cover from "Here Comes Bobby"

    • @johncicci917
      @johncicci917 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @SQDLVR Although that could be quite costly to reprint them in their original form. Originally his albums were sold at a bit of a premium, likely to cover some costs.
      I do hope they include his song which was the B-Side for the single The Drum and that's Free Now To Roam. There's actually a cover version by a band called Spell .... quite good actually . That song was probably recorded during the same session for Portrait Of Bobby so it would be a great bonus track . .. and do the album in Pink vinyl to match

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s great to hear that you’ve enjoyed the Kevin Gray cuts-his mastering work is widely appreciated for its quality. Preferences in mastering can vary a lot from person to person, and it’s always worth exploring releases from different labels to find what resonates best with your ears.

    Friday has always been hit and miss. Charging the same as Rhino Hi Fi is absurd. Last i bought was both Wedding Singer soundtracks. Absolutely muted pressings. Sometimes they do good work like the old 90125. Inconsistent label that should be $25 tops. $37 is insane. Be the mid quality cheaper label. Can't match Rhino Hi Fi or Analogue Productions quality. So don't creep to their prices.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts! While I understand where you’re coming from, I’ve found that Friday Music delivers some truly standout releases, especially with their attention to packaging and curation of classic titles. Pricing can definitely be a hot topic, but I think it reflects the effort they put into creating collectible editions for fans. Every label has its hits and misses, but Friday Music has brought some long-awaited titles to vinyl that we might not have seen otherwise. Hopefully, future releases continue to meet-and even exceed-expectations!

    What happened with the Grand Funk Railroad vinyl campaign project, that Friday Music had on schedule and never happened? They just released the Live album...

    • @VinylLatte

      Thanks for your comment! I totally understand the disappointment around projects that don’t materialize as expected. Sometimes unforeseen challenges can affect production and release schedules, especially with ambitions projects like this one. While I cannot speak on behalf of Friday Music or the Grand Funk Railroad series, I've been in the game long enough to know that sometimes things don't work out for one reason or another. I'll see if I can find out anything more than this. Until then, happy spinning. 🎶
