I first heard this song some 20 plus years ago and it didn't mean much as I was a young innocent woman. I married and went into an abusive relationship. I found the Lord through the waters of baptism with the evidence of speaking in strange tongues (1 Corinthians 14:2, Mark 16: 17, Joel 2:28, Acts 2:38) and God has changed my Marriage life dramatically. After so many years, I accidentally stumbled on this video and when I heard the words again, I cried and cried like a baby in front of my teenaged children. The words made a whole sense to me because God has really carried me through all those really dark path, lonely, painful experiences. I praise God for this beautiful song. I was experiencing excruciating back ache and this rendition was such a blessing as I remembered it while writhing in pain. It made me think of Jesus shouldering the cross and my sin on his body. That brought a calming peace even though there was so much pain. To know that Jesus understands. And He has gone even further.

I was experiencing excruciating back ache and this rendition was such a blessing as I remembered it while writhing in pain.
It made me think of Jesus shouldering the cross and my sin on his body. That brought a calming peace even though there was so much pain. To know that Jesus understands. And He has gone even further.
