Given our continued interaction with our "old Adam" (in Martin Luther’s phrase “simul justus et peccator” (simultaneously justified and sinner)), this old Adam works hard to instill fear, depression, anxiety, and a host of other calamities, whereby my human nature succumbs at times to these feelings. It is by God's grace and his Holy Spirit who reminds me of God's Sovereignty and control over all things. "People are like grass" is a wonderful biblical phrase that can be easily remembered and committed to heart. Amen.
