I was LITERALLY going to recommend this song to you guys. Check out their other song “Glass”. These guys are fantastic with incredible bass every track!
That bass was incredible- the syncopated sections with audible bass and guitar in tandem ended up sounding like a piano with distortion. I can't remember the last metal band I listened to that you could actually hear the bass! I'm sick of tinny, overcompressed static. Another band that I think gets the mix exactly perfect is Spiritbox. Josh really knows his way around a proper mix.
I can throughly recommend another underrated band Stoneside. The song God Save The King which has a video or Cold Dead Hand which although absolutely epic, only has a visualiser. Did not expect to see Unprocessed but very happy to do so! X
Okay when you left that comment a little bit ago I was not expecting to see this song drop practically an hour later 😂 I am SO happy you guys liked this! I know it’s completely different from the last song I requested/the first song you heard from them. I did promise to request something heavier at some point. And I was going back and forth on what to request but literally the same day I won the wheel spin this song dropped and I was like omg I have to request this. Like I’ve said previously, they’re compared to Polyphia a lot (they’ve even opened for them on two tours) because of their technicality when it comes to the music. But they actually have a vocalist who has a sick scream but also an absolutely beautiful voice, as well as him being the lead guitarist. I also have a song I requested that might be coming up soon by them that features the two guitarists from Polyphia that I’m excited to see you react to! Mostly for Dallas, I wasn’t sure how you’d feel about the heavy side of them cause it can be pretty chaotic so I really enjoyed your reaction! Polyphia is huge but I really think Unprocessed deserves so much more attention than they’ve had so far. They’ve gotten bigger but I don’t think it’s been nearly enough because they’re so talented. They have super clean, melodic stuff and then very heavy, unique stuff. I can’t wait to request more since you’ve enjoyed these two songs so far! Anyways done ranting. I just love this band so much and they’re in my top five faves. 😊
Definitely a rad pick here, Becca. Now this is where I'm gonna sound like Dallas and Andrea here for a sec, lol...but in the middle part of the song with the cello playing (which was beautiful btw), that part of the song reminded me a little of Sleep Token with Vessel's calm flowing voice and the instruments following along with the sound. I really enjoyed this one as well, nicely done! 👏🏼🤘🏻
@@andrepauli3143 That was my first thought too- I'm not normally a big fan of the hypertechnical bands like Polyphia or Unprocessed, but this song's just made different. When those angelic vocals kicked in, the first thought I had was that Vessel has competition. This song's close to what I would consider a perfect modern metal song - I love how the three-act structure reflected the title, the cello was gorgeous, and those DRUMS.... just a flawless song.
That guy's vocals are downright celestial. The cello was a great addition- sort of a more melancholy, operatic version of Imminence's sound. But for me, the crown jewel was the drums... So many times in metal, drums end up as more of an occasional thump drowning in a sea of overcompressed distortion. However they mic'd this one, each instrument was equally prominent without fighting for attention. I'm not even an Unprocessed fan, but this song is easily in the running for SOTY.
They listened to this during a livestream! The stream was uploaded as a video on their channel 3 weeks ago titled, "Come hang out and listen to some awesome music with us!!!". I would post a link but TH-cam always deletes my comments if there's a link in it lol The song starts around 2:33:29 (after the editor starts barking)
If you didn’t vibe with this one then check out more of their discography. I think this one flowed together well as a three part song, especially when it’s incorporated to fit the title of it. But they have a lot of great songs that you will find to be more “cohesive”
Thank you to whoever, that won whatever, that caused these ladies to react to this band! So underrated!

Take note that the song starts off "Dark", then goes "Silent" and then ends "Complete". These dudes are geniuses.
One of the best songs to come out in years..sticks out like a sore thumb in such a muddied scene.

Y'a these guys are extremely talented but definitely need to work on more cohesive songs
The three act structure was intentional.
