Just skimming through the comments, I feel like most people are ignoring the obvious selling point of this thing. It generates its own energy and water. Of course there's cheaper options out there, but then you have to pay those bills. That's what's got me interested. And it's already been explained that the reason for the price is because there's only fifty of them, and they'll get cheaper when they're mass produced. So aside from all that, is there any legitimate downside to this, or is this just typical internet cynicism?
Its still way over priced. You can buy a brand new class A, have it self sufficient as this one, and still have at least 10k left over. At most this thing should be 40 grand not a whopping 90k
I really dont mind staying in that. Just imagine no bills to pay. I would park it near the woods n sea. This + lab grown food n wow thats really life! Living would become so much cheaper, easier n happier!
I think this is amazing...I'd like to see one that has some size to it that one could actually live in for a few mths at a time..at least twice as big would be awesome...and come with wheels to avoid the trailer issues of how to put on and take off
I would very much like to see a caravan version of this that I could pull behind my Subaru Outback, for some off grid radio vacations in Scandinavia. I hope that there's also going be different. For example a minimal utilitarian version, which could be used as a primitive shelter & off grid office.
Hi +Lucia Pidova - Frimerova. This is just the first price for a limited number of exclusively customized Ecocapsules, and we will address our fans with AMA session soon (so we will explain the pricing). All the next, mass-produced Ecocapsules will be cheaper.
+Ecocapsule you can build small house (10x bigger than this capsule) for 25 000 and use other money for solar and wind systems. Still cheaper than Ecocapsule.
+Life28SK ... so then... just don't buy it. Would that be a solution to the problem you have? :) This is as with the first Tesla - you also can get a brand new great car for fraction of the price. This is unique in size, portability and in being self-sustainable...
I was excited to see this video. I love this idea. But for 85,000 that's just crazy. You can get a tiny home with more square footage, a rain caughting system, actual fullsize appliances, heat it with propane or a small fire place or both, and a way better solar system that that like quadruple the battery bank and everything for that same price. And on a trailer so you can take it with you for the same price
This is a great idea. I am amazed it has not sold out yet. Its main positives (1+) solar/wind power (2+) water capture /purification (3+) lightweight (4,200lbs when filled with water; 2,700lbs without water) so it can be towed. The main negatves in my view (1-) still too heavy maybe? (would prefer max weight of 1500 lbs) (2-) does the windmill tower come down?(fold? for transportation) (3-) the price which will eventually come down. Essentially main draw is the energy and water usage. Anyone with solar/wind capture tech. hooked to a brand new happier camper ($20K) would be able to compete with ecocapsule perhaps? But this is an excellent effort and a beautiful piece.
Love it... Inside that should be more modern with gorilla glass and shining white cupboard... Stronger and not in wood (old fashion). Thanks for the video. We should open that egg much more to have a kind of canopy for the rain and cook outside and have more place etc. But love already the idea.
The cruise ship industry promised 200 of these to the Virgin Islands for Irma recovery? What happens after they are used? Would these have air conditioners?
If I am ever convinced of upsides of owning a house and I do go out to buy a house, this is exactly what I'll be looking for. That is of course after I pay off my student loan debt (yoo-hoo, an American here).
Krobbkag Destroyer Of Worlds good idea, don't ever tie more balls and chains around your ankle than what you absolutely have to. I wouldn't have gotten a car myself if I didn't need to. We try to play the best hand with the kind of cards we are dealt.
I'm sorry 80K?! Hunnie, from where i come from, you can buy a nice cozy semi-D, 2 storey house with 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 3 bathrooms and enough land to plant stuff.
Any chance it could be modularized? Solar I can already buy, but interested in filtration system and wind turbine. Really cool though. To make it more popular maybe add space like an attached tent.
did it have a fridge? stove? how do i get wifi? does it have a composing toilet that i have to dump every time? does it have a mirror? how does heating and cooling work? How much does it cost in USD?
why is everyone hating so bad, they are showing a better alternative to living, yeah it might be pricey but you won’t be caring about prices when everyone’s dying of global warming, plastic or drought 🤷🏽♀️just saying
I don't know if you are aware of the Earthship Movement, but building add-ons that could duplicate what Earthships do (Passive Solar Heating, Greenhouse, Recirculation of Water, Etc.) would be a step up.
An existential doubt, can you live in one of those? Thinking about a hypothetical case of being a young single worker I think if you could live there because if I'm working in the morning, electricity may not be a problem, but the one I see that would be water would be because Here where I live (Mexico) it rarely rains
You could fill the water tank manually. :P Doesn't even have to be clean water, as it filters the water for you, so, most lakes and rivers will do the job just fine.
as cool as this is I'm curious about Heating and Cooling, where the refrigerator is? and what kind of toilet is this and how do I use it? is it a composting toilet or is it some new concept of a toilet that is going to make me even sicker?
Hello, we are the program team of JTBC, a Korean broadcasting station. I was looking for a video of the 'Eco Capsule House' when I saw the video and contacted you. If possible, can we use this video on our show? The source will be written and used in a way that is not a problem with the broadcasting regulations. I'll wait for your reply. Thank you.
No one is going to buy this product at such a high price without seeing at least one person review it. Did anyone ever actually buy one of these things? People would want to know how well it functioned.
So ... any proof it can sustain itself in terms of what a normal person needs for energy (shower, heat, etc) ? This commercial doesn't provide any real information, and considering it's already developed that's a really bad sign. Most products you can test out or see if it really works from a test market, but this is so expensive that there won't be any (real) consumer to test it. In addition, with such new technology chances are the first model/s will be significantly more expensive than they are worth.
Nice idea, however it's not going to work in my country, freaking Croatia. Why? Because there is a law that you can not camp or sleep outside what so ever, only in camps and shit. Who ever sleeps out in a car, in a tent or what freaking ever is going to pay a fine. Is this only in my country or what?

+Knud Thorsten....... It's the same in most areas of the ussa and Kannada it's 'illegal' to park just anywhere and sleep overnite. Most Walmart's and truck-stops now only allow trucks to park overnite. Besides, you can buy a luxury motor-coach for far less and 3Xs the room.
+Knud Thorsten WTF with those Bastards of the mother nation Croatia. You should burn all the politicians there, cos they fix laws at their convenience.
I guess It's like that because we are quite big touristic country, 20% of our GDP comes from that sector and this is the way they're wanting to be sure money keeps on coming. argh
This reminds me of that Terry Gillian movie, Brazil, it seems like a NWO prison cell/living quarter. But it is actually probably just a very expensive hipster camping trailer =) Building a good brick house here in Brazil costs around 20k, I guess the time for envying America and Europe is long gone

Contact me and I will build you 16X20 double shipping container unit. 4Xs, at least, the room. Well insulated for most climates, nicely finished inside and out, totally self contained, no tank to drain, no septic needed, no not a compost toilet, with all these features and maybe more for half the price. It's mobile, can easily be shipped anywhere on the planet, and, need very little to prep for shipping. If you want something similar I will convert a 'Boler' type trailer for you for about half the price of one of these. Just search 'Boler'.
good idea except for the wind power. first the noise they give out is annoying as fuck and if that doesn't drive you nuts the electromagnetic field will make you insane.
I admire what you're trying to do, I do. Kudos. However you can just get straw bales and put them in whatever shape you want. Some steel sheets as roof (tie bales to it underneath) and you have a very heat-efficient home for under 500$ (around 50$ here in Sweden). I've done this several times for me and my friends. The rest of such a sum of money you can use to buy/lease land, where the true potential for sustainable living is. _Come on now_, it needs to be accessible to ever have a real impact on anything. Think outside the box!
Then why dont you design something better and show us. Its easy to poke holes in ideas...harder to come up with the initial idea and making it materialise
offcourse!!!! i am all about freeing mankind from this life we are living...we all cn get along....be you black white...brown or purple!....we got enough space and resources for all.....we are just led by stupid politicians who only serve themselves!....will keep you in the loop :) Take care and have a nice day.
Let's start the revolution by buying a really really expensive trailer. Let's go off-grid as soon as we have $86,000. Is it just me or something is wrong here?
Who needs so much desk space, even for two people on laptops ??? Should have used the space for more kitchen counter.Otherwise, the design is brilliant.
of all the technological product announcements i've checked out in the past 20 years, this is possibly the most underwhelming, for all of the stated reasons including the music. good luck and stuff though. it's rounded and solar so i'm sure somebody'll buy it.

It doesn't generate water or electricity.it collects water and power.
Duh, do you not see the sun panel and the wind generator?
thats write the idea is good i just wander if that home have wheel to move it more easy?
Its still way over priced. You can buy a brand new class A, have it self sufficient as this one, and still have at least 10k left over. At most this thing should be 40 grand not a whopping 90k
100k now
I really dont mind staying in that. Just imagine no bills to pay. I would park it near the woods n sea. This + lab grown food n wow thats really life! Living would become so much cheaper, easier n happier!
It would've been awesome if it's also a vehicle. Imagine that.
Golden Boy yooo that's what it should of been like a solar RV
the future.
One day
Maybe a Slide-On Camper version?
I think this is amazing...I'd like to see one that has some size to it that one could actually live in for a few mths at a time..at least twice as big would be awesome...and come with wheels to avoid the trailer issues of how to put on and take off
Pretty sure my Tamagochi use to live in one of those.
What About heating and cooling or a refrigerator?
I would very much like to see a caravan version of this that I could pull behind my Subaru Outback, for some off grid radio vacations in Scandinavia. I hope that there's also going be different. For example a minimal utilitarian version, which could be used as a primitive shelter & off grid office.
check out the Safari Condo Alto travel trailer! very similar, much cheaper, and the Outback pulls it with no problem.
Price is 80 000€. Very expensive for such as small thing.

+Life28SK create it and I will : first be the most interested in your challenging vehicule.
+Lucia Pidova - Frimerova In the US, in the state of Georgia, you could buy a decent sized, 2-story house for that price right now
I was excited to see this video. I love this idea. But for 85,000 that's just crazy. i so want this for x-mas
Amazing! I would definitely live like that :D
Who came here after arun's video?
Would these have air conditioners?
all I need is 100 of these and an island and I'm all set.
the idea is good if there is wendows 4 sides 👍🏻 and i just wander if that home have wheels to move it more easy or can be drive it 😁 ?
If I am ever convinced of upsides of owning a house and I do go out to buy a house, this is exactly what I'll be looking for. That is of course after I pay off my student loan debt (yoo-hoo, an American here).
+shreetron I feel your pain, i'm just gonna layoff on buying a house or a car until I pay off my loans.
Krobbkag Destroyer Of Worlds good idea, don't ever tie more balls and chains around your ankle than what you absolutely have to. I wouldn't have gotten a car myself if I didn't need to.

Thanks for the idea and I won't be paying 80k when I can build one for less than 3k.
Brain 84 have you built it yet?
Yeah where the video or picture, lier!
How much does it cost in USD?
amei, eu moraria numa dessas tranquilamente!!!
I'm completely sold: but I have but one question, can I run my desktop computer (750 watts) off this thing?
There are 12 power supplies tbat will power a desktop.
why is everyone hating so bad, they are showing a better alternative to living, yeah it might be pricey but you won’t be caring about prices when everyone’s dying of global warming, plastic or drought 🤷🏽♀️just saying
Well, droughts affect ecocapsule owners too, ya dingus. :P
sans doute un record de compacité et de design... mais seniors s'abstenir, très chouette !
How do u move that thing.
I don't know if you are aware of the Earthship Movement, but building add-ons that could duplicate what Earthships do (Passive Solar Heating, Greenhouse, Recirculation of Water, Etc.) would be a step up.
I want this house.
we arrived on planet namek!!
price in Indian rupees and available in India or not
is it for Yoda?
Very nice!
Give me a full size fridge and a washer dryer combo and I'm set
Where do we do our loundry?
Heating ???
An existential doubt, can you live in one of those?

Doesn't even have to be clean water, as it filters the water for you, so, most lakes and rivers will do the job just fine.
I would gladly pay 15k for this, nothing more. Its far too small and it appears they didn't develop the unit with tall people in mind.
Try 100k. Its Stupid
I'd pay 30k
please make a video demonstrating the toilet and fridge
Where is the website?
For 80k, I would expect it to come with a truck, trailer and generator.
Pretty cozy
What ?
On your website i read it' s worth from 70.000 to 79.000 for this ?
The price is how luxury compact camper !
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
as cool as this is I'm curious about Heating and Cooling, where the refrigerator is? and what kind of toilet is this and how do I use it? is it a composting toilet or is it some new concept of a toilet that is going to make me even sicker?
How do you purify water, and where waste water with everything you "produce" goes?
Hello, we are the program team of JTBC, a Korean broadcasting station. I was looking for a video of the 'Eco Capsule House' when I saw the video and contacted you. wait you got the water through rain that's cool but what can you do when you need drinking water
Air?
What is the music playing on this video?
is it airconditioned?
DOES IT HAVE A FRIDGE
and a washer/dryer combo
No one is going to buy this product at such a high price without seeing at least one person review it. Did anyone ever actually buy one of these things? People would want to know how well it functioned.
It looks like a cozy prison cell.
Lol
it looks like an egg and super cute
How much does it's cost?
Where does the shit go?
+Dennis Viorel Garcia this is ecocapsule. of course shits recycled become potatos. we shit, we dig back toilet, we eat potatos. convenient yes!
Analog Cow Hhahahaha we eat our shit¡¡
+Dennis Viorel Garcia I wonder the same thing.
Dennis Viorel Garcia and the fridge
Dennis Viorel Garcia probrably a decomposition tank
You're not going to any real wind 10 feet off the ground. And that is one hefty pricetag.
How User Serviceable is it?
I have been a fan o ecocapsule since her presentation, but I whospe that I can buy with a cheaper price in a future.
Just add a few gun barrel ports.
So ... any proof it can sustain itself in terms of what a normal person needs for energy (shower, heat, etc) ? This commercial doesn't provide any real information, and considering it's already developed that's a really bad sign.

I want one so fucking bad xux
BEAUTIFUL! But the price is too high :(
How do you drive it?
+Mr.Pug oh.. right you can't drive it. can you?
Where's the fridge?

Germany too you could end with 15000 to pay
Building them expensively is money fraud. Build and sell them cheaper. Then I’ll be impressed.
great idea
it is wonderful but we need like it to 2 person or more
... it is...
I'll take a small loan of 3.
I want one!!!
Why the hell aren't the creators of this thing not posting TH-cam videos of themselves spending at least a week in one of them?
If there is a flash flood, will it float, or will it go dawn like the Titanic?
nice one
how much
This reminds me of that Terry Gillian movie, Brazil, it seems like a NWO prison cell/living quarter.

Nomad Wizard Hi. Is this offer still valid?
How much is this thing it definitely would scare someone walking 3a remote field and didn't know about this. They would think it was a UFO
we like it ! :)
All is well for a trailer park paradise here but tornadoes.
WHOA THIS LOOKS AMAZI-(70000$) NEVER MIND LOL

for this kind of money you can build something way better than this crap... or you can ask someone to build it for you, it's not so hard.
Then why dont you design something better and show us.
Its easy to poke holes in ideas...harder to come up with the initial idea and making it materialise
As I said - "YOU can build ", you, not me, I just don't need that.
Sorry for my misunderstanding of your comment my good man!!
But i really do want to build something like this! :D
don't forget to shear with people when it will be done :)
offcourse!!!! i am all about freeing mankind from this life we are living...we all cn get along....be you black white...brown or purple!....we got enough space and resources for all.....we are just led by stupid politicians who only serve themselves!....will keep you in the loop :)

$15k tops, understand it's a limited run. There are waste issues too.
This is an absolutely brilliant idea to be be off
Grid but, I personally could never afford it on disability. I do love the concept!
Think of all it has to make it off grid. Definitely not 3k in USA.
Who needs so much desk space, even for two people on laptops ??? Should have used the space for more kitchen counter.Otherwise, the design is brilliant.

Maybe for a quick overnight stay. But seriously, The 2 people would end up killing each other. Guess you could just use it as a coffin for them.
Hear me out, a bunch of eco capsules connected to each other
Тесничко. Но пък енергийната автономност е супер.
If my life fallls apart again I'm going to scam the short term loan sites, get the money, buy one for these and live my life in the woods.
98000 zloty ?
30k max. 100k seems mental
i could you a real home for the same price
kampera który jeździ dla 4 osob z owiele lepszym wyposazeniem mozna kupic za 20-40k, takze bez komentarza
