    Just another normal day in the life of Andres...except that darn Bose box. Thanks for taking us along

    I had the big bose system for a long while. When the new 2 Series came out with QSC I switched over. It’s like night and day and I can make my rig as big or small as I need. Most the time it’s a KS112 Sub and K8.2 run like the Bose. But! Double that and I can play to an outdoor tent with 400 people and I have more than enough. This was the happy medium I found.

    Man, I’d love to see what you’re using now. I’m using 2 EV 12” mains with an EV floor monitor going to a Mackie Pro FXv10 board, and my guitar effects (using tie POD Go for effects and the Ditto Z4 looper). It’s a lot to setup for these solo gigs, and I’m averaging about 2 a week.

    The QSC speakers weighed a ton too bro. If I have to lug them from gig to gig, it gets old pretty fast. I’ll stick with the Bose. I think we musicians are very particular and we want the very best sound possible, but lots of time the audience does not really care that much and often cannot tell the slight difference between the two systems.

      prolotherapy I agree with you. I guess the biggest factor for me is being able to record the show I’m stereo even if the live audience hears it in mono. That’s my current search

      Andres Colin I had overlooked the recording part completely bro. I’ll be searching along with you for that set up. This game will never end...so many possibilities and combinations. I think that’s what so great about being a musician who cares about his craft, you will never stop searching.

    Upgrade your t1 tonematch to the T4s .. then you can use that with the Bose tower via Ethernet and stereo qscs via the 1/4 left and right outs. Options!

      Ben Hammond yes! You may have told me something like that before...Thanks I think that’s the best route

    I'm from Australia new on your channel, and seeing you live must be pretty amazing! You and Dovydas made me buy the Boss RC-505 Loopstation and plus I own TC-helicon Voice Live 3 Extreme also Yamaha PSR a3000 and Yamaha Stagepas 600i and Scarlett Sasrite Audio Interface and TASCAM DR-44WL to start to enjoy my music time at home. You're great at playing music, thanks. AK from Australia.

    I’m sort of in the same position myself. I have an S1 Pro in my living room all ready to be returned. It wasn’t as loud as other people were saying it was and it distorted at 1/3 of the way up in volume with electric guitar. Now I’m looking into getting the QSC CP8. Is that what you are using? I’ll be performing as a solo/duo so I’m trying to get away with only one speaker.

    It still sounded mono to me. I didn't hear any stereo imaging. Maybe it was but you recorded in mono?

    You create beautiful music... I'm in Vegas, look me up when you get here. I would love to sing with you! Shine Jackie Shine: The Soul Sister Show.
    Thanks for advice. I just bought a Bose PA to perform on Fremont Street. It's very loud there with high traffic, so a PA system that can handle the noise is my preference, along with something easy to carry with a quick set up.

    Could you get two bose compacts and get stereo

    • @andrescolintv
      @andrescolintv  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess with a different mixer I could but I don’t think it would be a great idea due to its multiple speaker array design that shoots in all directions. I’m afraid some frequencies would cancel each other out

      Andres Colin I was thinking about getting another Bose compact but I’ve never thought about the way it shoots sounds 8 different ways....not sure...thanks for more confusion...my bose has been reliable for years but only takes one time to go bad...it’s in mothballs now anyway

      John Green i have the Bose S1pro which sounds pretty decent for its size... but starts to distort when pushing it to the low freqs limit... but the other day I tried it with the ev subwoofer I have and sounded very very cool. You may wanna try that
