My cousin, who was practically my best friend, really enjoyed watching One Piece with me and was a huge anime fan. He liked to make a lot of theories about how the anime would end and always wanted to see how it ended. But unfortunately he ended up dying from an accident that took his life. This was his favorite opening and I can't listen to this song without thinking about him.

Hes crew died yes, but thy live on with the last music they played and the promes he made to them. hes depression was never crippling, because of that goal, but the Brook alone of the ship was definitely in deep depression. And then Luffy came, he broke down at the end of that arc having finly found something to find joy out of. even if he makes jokes all the time, they all about the things he has lost.
This opening is such a perfect closure for all the events during Sabaody-Marineford. It shows how Luffy, as a character, overcomes Ace's death and keeps going in life, remembering everything he still has left, his friends and all the moments he has shared with them

My brother put me on One Piece he died right before Wano about 4 years ago this will always be my favorite opening because he did me like Ace did Luffy THE EXACT THING! I can’t watch this without tears….. since the comments are getting weird let me edit: when I said the same thing I meant he pushed me in my back when I was giving up I work at the hospital he died walking back and forth for 10 hours…. After he passed I was at work crying (to myself) and I was done with everything and when I crossed the street I felt something push me… we watched one piece from the jump so I knew that was his way and that shit was fulfilling
I first heard this song when I was probably 17-18. Now I'm 23 and when I listen to the song now, it always hits me right in the feels. When my mom died it took some time for me to process, but then I started listening to this song and all of a sudden I was bawling like a baby.

Seeing Ace, Luffy and Sabo always makes me tear up a bit, i always remember the good times i spent with my friends when we were just children, having fun, playing around, fighting and just laughing about life. It is heartbreaking to think that it will never come back, and i think thats what makes this opening so good. Still, we carry on forward.

I feel like they did good with this opening, so many people were upset over Ace's passing, and this feels like not just a nod to Luffy to move forward and that Ace is Okay and watching him but I also feel like this was something to help fans as well with the grieving of his character, I love that they acknowledge his death in this opening because it's a huge chunk of Luffy's heart that died when Ace did and some Anime's openings either just stay the same with the character still there like their alive or they move to a new opening where the character isn't even there or its just SUPER up beat, like this was a heavy death and I dont think they could have moved on from it any other way. Like I remember reading the Manga and having to actually stop reading for awhile because it upset me so much and I didn't know what to do, wish I had this OP at the time tbh.

This op makes me realize the enormous amount of love I have for One Piece, thank you One Piece for giving me such a experience I’ll never be able to go through again.
I dont know why, but everytime at the flashback and ace's part I'm so close to shedding tears.

I love the first 15 seconds of this opening so much.
I love this intro. And the part where you can see Luffy with all his best moments with each crew mate gives me goose bumps. Luffys so heroic and I’d love to meet him.

One piece is the only thing that releases my stress at night after the stressful school and homework and idk what I will release my stress without One piece after I reach adulthood
I "traveled" the world. Saw many openings from many medium, watched more than 900 animes, played and played so many games, and this opening is the most emotional opening I've ever seen in any title or series I've ever consumed. A true masterpiece. It tells you a story.
I think this is the most beautiful opening from all animes.
This is so emotional. This is sad and yet full of hope. The scene at 1:58 gets me all the time. He's finally moving forward after accepting his brother's death so he can reach the light.

From the second the opening began, it hit different. From the song, to the animation. It is just one of the best One Piece opening. From beginning to the ending with Luffy and his long coat. It bitter-sweet.

Even after so many years, I feel like crying whenever I watch this op. I love how it symbolizes that no matter what hardships come through, you'll still have people to rely on and that there is no path but forward and you must live on. Just beautiful.
This op symbolizes the Straw Hats' process of growing and changing, but acknowledges the past left long behind. I lament the fact that things will never truly be the same after the time skip and Ace's death, but also I am optimistic for the future and what it holds, and Fight Together embraces that perfectly.
