LOL the Raptors may wake you up rather rudely but hey it's worth a try. Having a bed to spawn in helps a lot because you can respawn pretty far away from your base and sometimes it's even more dangerous where you end up.

I haven't gotten to try Ark on Switch yet myself, but here is an excellent review I just watched from someone who has: th-cam.com/video/iiiLDn4F3MM/w-d-xo.html It looks like they have reduced the graphics a good bit on Switch, especially at long distances, but the game seems exactly the same aside from that :) It looks like it lags a tiny bit here and there, but I have seen that on PS4 as well if you get too much going on at once. I once left about 20 penguins on wander in my base for too long... and I seriously thought my PS4 would break when I got back to find they had multiplied into about 100 little penguins. I still see feral penguins in the redwood forest every now and then >.

I totally agree, if people are used to playing Ark in photo-realistic quality on a $5,000 PC, they will be disappointed with Ark Switch graphics. But seriously, for packing such a powerhouse game into a portable platform, I'm extremely impressed with how good it looks and how well it runs on the Switch.
Yeah me too I want it to play at least where I can actually play it and it does that well I’m not picky and I’m just a regular 11 year old gamer so I’m not into the highly decked out pc stuff
So true, I think the real fun and appeal of Ark is built around how you can be creative to conquer and build the world with fun people. It is a lot like Minecraft in that way, and that's doing amazingly well with very very retro graphics. Looking good is really icing on the cake for Ark. And hey if you enjoy the beautiful visuals, you can still watch this channel for those ;)
Nice :) If you want to just enjoy the game and have fun, definitely go PVE, not PVP. PVP Ark basically encourages people to be horrible. I feel your pain tho, most of my friends play on Xbox, and I'm playing solo Ark on PS4 and PC.
Is there no way to sleep on the switch version? Only option close is “lay on bed” and sleeping bag doesn’t even have that. Just fast travel. Mobile version I actually sleep 4 hours in a sleeping bag and beds are 7 hours. Is there no way to pass the night away sleeping on switch? Or do I have to watch my character lay on the bed for an hour? I’m lost

Yeah I just need the core gameplay mechanics but my friends play on Xbox so I’ll probably just make a server for fun
