So here we are, my first solo walk in a wee while.
    Being a' Chochuill 980m and Being Eunaich989m
Starting just North West of Dalmally the walk is easy going up an access track for almost an hour. There is some farms and fields to contend with on the way and if you're taking a dog, please be mindful of the cattle.
After around an hour of walking along the track you will cross a bridge Mhoille Bridge and the a little further along you will turn back on yourself at a junction to take on the last little bit of road walking. There is a junction where you leave the road and start your ascent up the shoulder of Beinn a' Chochuill. This is really easy to miss and care needs to be taken here. W3W///shift.makeovers.firebird
The ascent is steady going and fairly decent path. A nice little relief as you mount the broad ridge and enjoy the views as you work your way to the summit.
Heading over to Beinn Eunaich, again, is very straighforward and doesn't require any extra special skills. There are some steep drops to the North so care is required in poor vis not to get caught out here. A short flat section precedes the steeper ascent of Beinn Eunaich. Once on the summit, again, the views are spectacular and it's hard not to dawdle in awe.
The main descent is tackled quickly down a not so steep shoulder. There is some bog here and could get quite damp in wet conditions. At an elevation of 535m, you will start the "uncomfortably" steep descent. To be honest. In dry(ish) conditions there's nothing to be too concerned about. If the weather was wet, then you probably would need to be a lot more careful. I tackled this in around 15mins. Not as huge an issue as I first thought.
The walk out along the farm track is pleasant and gives you a chance to recover on the hike back to the car. All in all a fantastic hike!

Just watched it on the TV. Absolutely stunning day you got. When Anne Marie Karin and myself done it in late September it was completely in the clag, that really sticky way as well. Look forward the your next one mate. The quality of this video was really sharp as well, absolutely brilliant.

Hi mate - Watched this one last night and noted the bit about the unpleasently steep descent.. i’ve been looking for somewhere thats got decent weather and it looks like this pair will be okay tomorrow. But, I dont have Crampons or an Ice Axe, i’ve only got sort of micro studs that go over my boots for walking on icy ground. I think its meant to snow there today. In your opinion do you think this will be a bit of a risky one descending the 2nd one if theres some snow? Can that bit be avoided?

Morning Paul. Unfortunately there’s no accurate answer I can give you here. Just details for you to make a decision. The steep section is fairly short. On a decent of maybe 120m. It starts around the 460m mark which appears to be well below the freezing level on 700m on the hills today. This doesn’t mean there’ll be no snow or need for crampons though. Micro spikes have there place on the hills but are absolutely no match for a decent set of crampons and an ice axe. Hopefully this helps you make a decision. Good luck and let me know how you get on. 😉😉👍🏻
