A judge no matter how outdated a law may seems Can interpret a law by looking at the objective of the law. They can also look to other jurisdiction to see how they addressed a case before them and, if the government is not in agreement with that interpretation they can bring in new legislation.
The problem is not the laws its about the judges and other persons working in the legal system. It seems as if most have bought their degrees and hence, were placed in positions that they are not competent to deal with. That is the reality.
@trishnewman910 nope. The judges are tied to the constitution, and that judge can't look to no other jurisdiction to make no other verdict. That judge cannot go outside the law of that land. Only lawmakers can ammend a law that is outdated.

Read other cases and see if a judge at times does not lookt to see how other jurisdiction apply the law and may use it if necessary. Look up persuasive precedence.
