You can use the new SMG LE 5 as an alternative to the sniper rifle to kill the regenerators. It has penetration power and you can mount the bio sensor scope on top. That's awesome because in the og 2005 game you only had the sniper as your option to kill them, but now you can use a smg to kill them.
Though the power and accuracy of the LE5 is so low that I ended up using 40 rounds instead of 3 to 5 rifle ammo to kill a regenerator. Maybe it's just me.

Even the old bolt action can get the job done with less fanfare. Of course experienced players just end up stabbing the thing to death. Joke's on me.
I used the SMG briefly, but ended up going back to my bolt action (especially once they started turning into iron maidens) it just wasn't popping the head one on the iron maiden, I needed the sniper rifle for it. The SMG is really nice at ripping through them, once they're already up and moving about though. I guess as my Bolty is maxed, it does crazy damage. I only need 1 shot to show the head parasite and a second one to kill it. I think the SMG is great though, especially if you unlock the perk, save all the ammo and then leave it for NG+. If you're still wondering on when did you miss the last challenge in 4-C. It is when the pirates are alligned perfectly from front to back and you aimed for the head. You didn't get the challenge from the farthest pirate

Fun fact :At 1:24:43 Ashley's gun jammed because of limp pressing which is cause by not holding the gun sturdy enough to let the gun work properly it's a thing usually happens to people don't handle firearm that often or a big caliber semi auto pistol such as a Desert Eagle

You missed some Magnum ammo to your right before going throw the arch to the Last Merchant . Also one rocket launcher wouldn't end him as he has may phases. The Killer 7 Magnum and the Striker did the job for me . Good job by you there too.
Oh man I keep forgetting this but when you play with mouse & keyboard you can press shift to show the colour bonus, don't know about the controller though. 5 different gems on the crown will give you a 100K
Dawg I love Delirious but the fact that he’s low health and not using the 5 spinel to get the yellow herb and mixing it with G+R herb is peeving the hell outa me
