What ANIMATED STAR WARS Needs to be Taken Seriously

- I love the animated Star Wars shows and have since the original 2D Clone Wars aired on Adult Swim in 2003. That being said, I don't feel like they are doing good enough with the material that they have.
In this video, I make some suggestions about what I think Disney and Lucasfilm need to do to make the next animated Star Wars show not just a hit among hardcore Star Wars fans, but a hit for everyone.

Waiting 4 years for a season of Bad Batch sounds crazy… but if it looked like Arcane and had the same quality of writing, I’d do it
Great video, but 1 point is disagree with and that is the graphics.
Artstyle =/= Animation quality
The CW and Bad Batch have a certain art style they stick to. Which is fine. The earlier seasons of cw look a bit rough. But bad batch especially s3 looks amazing even compared to live action tv shows. Disney can make a show in a crispier artstyle but that is not wat CW and BB were going for. They had their own style.
Now if Disney wants to make a show with grahics like Arcane I am all for it dont get me wrong.

@@MitchMyester I also think TBB having the same animation style as The Clone Wars makes sense as it's a sequel to the Clone Wars not to mention the end of the Clone Wars era, but the fact that there still using it on the short shows like Tales of the Jedi and Tales of the Empire is just ridiculous.
@@CadenTheGreatWesternEngine Why develop an entirely new artstyle when the clone wars style has undoubtedly been the most popular, efficient, and standout style
@@Killerbee4712 agreed, but sometimes it tends to get stale, but Tales of the Empire changed my mind, as the colors look more glossy than Tales of the Jedi and Bad Batch, now I think we should continue to see how they develop the artstyle in recent years
@@CadenTheGreatWesternEngine Eventually the lighting, reflections etc. are going to be so perfect that it won't even look like a cartoon. Scenes in Bad Batch S3 with them landing on Erebus literally straight up look like live action, its great.
Andor was labelled "Star wars" yet sadly, despite excellent storytelling, a lower turnout than most. I disagree that "Star wars" the label can draw a crowd in. Obi Wan, Darth vader, Sidious, Ventress, THESE names draw crowds in.
Im guessing this is why tales of the empire was so violent and had blood in it...They are trying to kill the this is just a kid show vibes....Clone Wars also has dark and sadistic moments from Ventress,Dooku or even from jedi lol....😂
I disagree with first few seasons being bad of clone wars. They were entertaining and showed the war in star wars quite well while it expanded the universe.
Most filler in star wars, at least in clone wars is fun as well, like the dumb d squad arc. That arc is low key prolly one of my favorites for how hilarious and creative it is.
I honestly disagree with the premise as well, I don't see "oh but that's just a kids show" I now see "oh well it's just to long and if I watch one show I have to watch all of them..."
I think the main problem for the animated shows is that the writing could get incredibly lazy. Sometimes battle droids are completely useless other times they'll completely win. Sometimes when the hero's are surrounded instead of getting out of the situation via clever means all they do is like jump really high or worse just run into blaster fire. Jeez rewatching clone wars and rebels man... Anakin and Ashoka should like should've died 100x over
Dave Filoni is overrated and Star Wars has so many sad fans that are totally fine with mediocrity.
