I´m not aware of any collaboration between these two, but what i know is that i value Alex as guitarist an person some x20 times more than Mr. "Ego" Malmsteen.
Yngwie always has a very strong personality & always had a very strong vision as a musician of what he wanted & how to achieve it. That's for sure. That is why the name of his biography was 'Relentless' .Some people try to compare him to Ritchie Blackmore who went through so many musicians who ultimately didn't meet his exacting requirements. When Ritchie was asked why this happened he claimed - 'Maybe its because I am dissatisfied with my own musical ability so I am always constantly trying to seek it out in others. I don't know if this is what is going on in Yngwie's mind though... Because as a creative force Yngwie can be such an insular nucleus with such demanding requirements he can alienate some folks....And yet he didn't alienate players like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani in the G3 concerts from what I saw. Perhaps in some ways he is misunderstood . Sometimes he can be so DRIVEN towards a particular goal that nothing else matters & he takes no prisoners in getting there which can cause problems. But I still think nobody can take away from him that he raised the bar several notches upwards for a whole generation of players & he succeeded in re-designing electric rock guitar to have the notes & articulations & tone of a Classical Violin. What can one say ? .................... (Paul)
All you have to do is see how his great bands and music has vanished and his last decades been just him playing same solo.. I used to like his tunes but everything has it's time
@Blazingicons if he would get his head out of his ass and find a keyboard player who can help compose and get a real singer for Christs sake get back to trilogy style of writing
I remember hearing him as a teenager and I was blown away never heard anything like it he's one of the best.
He definitely has a talent to show off his skills and work

Yngwie is not only a virtuos, shredder, he is a great songwriter and rythm guitar player too. I like both ynwi3 and testament stuff!👊😎☕🎵🎸💚☀️
