I like it! It’s a nice ride, it’s a bit hard to steer stopped! I usually play with the smaller stuff. This is kind of a learning experience!

Great video. Looking forward to the next. Them arnt old stock gauges though. The bezel on the original ones was a flat brushed metal. They are cheap reproductions. I’ve been there myself with my 414

I’d agree on the gauges there were kind of a pain. Working on part 2 now. Was quite a saga getting the right tach drive cable. Ended up making one work. I like the 414 though!

Good video, I wonder what the benefit of a positive ground system would be. And I’m surprised the glow plugs would be wired in series. I wonder what that’s about too. Besides that, old tractors are interesting. Nice work getting that thing tightened up!

It seems a common theme on older tractors. Fortunately this is 12v but 6v and positive ground was pretty common. I need to get back on this tractor he came by yesterday and paid me for parts thus far. I ordered a tach cable that will work. He didn’t seem to worried about the charging system but wanted it trouble shot for future repair. Might get him to do glow plugs. He said he’s used it 5 times in 3 years! I just think it’s cool.

@@AbbyNormalGarage it is cool, but I’m still pondering why the glow plugs are wired in series…seems like you’d want it to start even if the first one was broken. Then once running the dead glow plug cylinder would eventually combust and start working. I’m sure whoever designed it is a lot smarter than I am though!😅
