Very cool propeller concept. Reminds me of the engine nacelles on the GENx engines on the Boeing 787.

That is a very interesting point! I wonder if the reason is related. Thanks for watching!

Nice choice of vessels to compare, keeping the Neel in is correct. FP is still trying to keep the price in line. Rounded wood door jams, finished ceiling interior and exterior cockpit, that is lots of French man hours. Price will go up a lot, think Oyster. I know you know this😂.

I hear you. I guess I’d just like a little more Nautitech flavour on the interior. If I could have the FP layout with a Nautitech walnut interior, I’d be in heaven!!

Base price for the portofino P47 has gone up $100k. The P52 with all the features from Barefoot doctors is now $1.8m according to Raffeale as of today. Also the P52 is much more performance orinted and will have a sa/d of 25 compared to the 23 of the P47.

An oyster catamaran would surely be the dream. I know privilege are filling that space but I’m thinking of the oyster world rally as well. I suspect they’d have concerns about the product being off brand and the diehard mono crowd moaning about it. However, Porsche and Ferrari produce SUV’s with great success. I’m sure an oyster 50 to 55 cat would be a winner.

Hey John! Thanks for watching. Thank you for your comment! An oyster catamaran does sound like a dream. It's interesting to think about how different brands expand their product lines and the potential concerns they might face.

I find it strange, that aviation takes so much from birds to implement and increase efficiency with planes, but the sea/sail universe are just doing that now, i guess there is too much inertia in this old world compared to aviation.

Hey Eric. I TOTALLY agree with you. As an outsider to this industry, I find myself constantly baffled by the lack of adoption of tech that even power boaters take for granted. Ah well. Thanks for watching!! D

rien sur la motorisation, rien de plus sur les voiles et l’accastillage... C’est un voilier ou pas

Hi Richard. I’m not sure I understand your question. I cover engine and sail specs in the “New Comparables” section. Re fittings…if you mean specs on winch size etc. I don’t go into that level of tech detail. I’m probably putting too many people to sleep as it is. lol. I hope I have answered your question. Thanks for watching! D.
