Great paint scheme, good choice on the base size (i hate different sized bases on similar troop types). I'm still not convinced on the Astraeus tho, but each to their own. ;-)

You keep saying bronze when I'm sure you mean brass. If it were bronze it would be oxidised teal in places. Models would look great with rust on them, tucked into their corners and edges, since you have so many flat metal areas to work with.
remember when the Sons of Dorn defyed their primarch and killed hundreds of traitors and an enemy titan legion when we defeated those traitors with just one Contemptor and 30 Battlebrother? no yes because they didnt .... also the Astreus looks even better when painted
you mentioned you don't have an air brush? i have one that i NEVER use, brush and compressor by Garret. they're lightly used as i never use them, so if you want a good deal on some high quality air brush tools, i'll happily make a deal with you. assuming my comment doesn't get lost in the flood of others. just putting the offer out there, no pressure at all. on a side note, the models are looking great.
The Astraeus. When you actually see it for real. does it look as much of a botched together tank as it does in the vids? Not a comment on your modelling skill ( it looks awesome btw) I mean does it look like it is a designed tank ( think panzer 4) or does it look like Cawl just botched together a super heavy. I mean the design I can see bits that look torn from a land raider, others from Rhino's and from various Imperial vehicles. It more looks like something thrown together to give false hope. Kinda like British stuff from '43 after Normandy or German stuff thrown out in '45. It has the look of crashed dreams and fading hopes where it is a propaganda weapon that looks fancy but is kinda crud on the battlefield and it is just thrown out to delude the population further so they will cling believing in the dream of an empire, whilst ignoring that the country is burning around them? Sorry I am assuming here that you have a love for real world war aesthetic and not just 30/40k.

Small stuff which is hard to paint is normally done separate then I stick them on.
