making this video was hard.
when the news hit, i couldnt even draw like the others, making beautiful tributes. after a while i started making this.
honestly, this might be one of the fastest times i've worked on an animatic. i finished most of them in a month. but why 3 months later then i just posted?
2 scenes were especially hard to finish. the scene with the voices, and his final goodbye. i just couldn't bring myself to draw them, even though i know exactly how i want the scene to look. it feels like i haven't accepted that he's gone, and that finishing this video means i finally come at terms with that painful fact.
but today, october 4th, i finally finished the last two frames. which was the dialogue techno said. i put them in the video, and cried. i cried all during playing the video again for a final check. he means so much to me, he got me through some really bad days, and everything about him from his humor, his way of talking, i miss them. sometimes, i even got thoughts of "oh i wonder when is the next techno upload" since he always has this long gaps of uploading, then it hit me again and not rare i cried again.
but i think it's okay to cry over him, that has changed so much of people's lives for the better. he's in a better place now, with no more pain.
i miss technoblade. i will continue to make art of him, of his dsmp character, because he's one of the most passionate cc about his story and character, he loves doing it and i want his character and story living on.

The same voices that had egged on, laughed with, and cheered for Techno crying and begging him to stay--that got me. I'm crying now, WTF.
Because we were those voices.
And even as he left he joked with us.
Nothing's more Techno than that.
That’s the part that hit me the hardest in this video. I was holding it together, but when I saw that I immediately started crying.
1:53 Okay, Dream gently holding Techno's crown hit like a TRUCK. Since Dream added Techno's crown to his skin...it's like he's trying to take up his mantle in some way (not a replaceable way, but to honor him).
They were the 'rivals', and now it's like Dream's trying to hold onto him and have enough adventures for both of them.
that's exactly what i was referencing! when he started wearing his crown, and still wore the cancer awareness ribbon, it really made me cry. it's clear in their own way, they really cherished each other as close friends. I'm sure techno would be proud to see where he's gotten now, but also use him for clout cause that's just how he is lmao

DUDE! Ever since Techno passes. This song is all I listen to. The timing of the song release is just too perfect. I like to believe this is fates way to tells us things happen and it's up to us to move on. My point is, thanks for making this. It made a lil part of me happy to finally see someone made a technoblade tribute with this song
yeah i feel the same, this video was originally made with another song, and i already synced it to the old song 75% done. then this song came out, i cried my eyes out hearing it, and decided to change the song. it fit perfectly, i think it was really meant to be. i am glad you liked this tribute, thank you for watching :)

We have to remember that despite the fact that he's gone, he would hate us mourning him. This is a fantastic tribute to him, since it takes that energy and puts it into something positive to help more people in the community, which is something that he absolutely would've wanted :)
i agree, the community has done wondrous in keeping his legacy alive. seeing all the art of him still coming strong from the various artists makes me a little less sad. he truly made a difference
Ever since Everything Goes On was released, I knew it would fit perfectly with Techno. I told some friends it would work, I swore someone could put the two together because I couldn’t figure out how. And I was right. And you did it. And damn if I’m not crying right alongside you.

I got into dsmp quite late but my first ever live dsmp was doomsday from techno's pov, it was so much fun and his humor and chill in and out of character way of speaking is just so nice. I can hear him talk for hours

I don't know if its just me. But I miss Technoblade every single day, his thought just comes to me and I get sad. And he was such a passionate cc and a person, I can't come to the fact that he might be gone, I personally am tragic at drawing due to which I cannot really explain how I feel that somehow this tribute took a gift wrap. Wrapped it around my feelings and presented it as a gift from all of us to Techno. I am really glad you did this 🐷👑❤

It's been....months(?) I believe, since that happened. I still go back to his old videos, and see many of us coming back there as well.
Ya know. I heard a song about carry on a legacy, and the lyrics goes something like "turn into a shooting star, that briefly shine, but warms up every heart. May all the beauty be blessed." . I would like to think it fits Techno too. He wasn't around for long, but he inspired so many people in so many ways, all coming together from all over the world, making songs, artwork, videos, stories, bringing joy, laughter, acceptance, and even contributing so much to fight against cancer.
Even after his passing, many are still here, keeping his memory and legacy alive through great and beautiful things....like this one.
Every frame of this gave my heart an aching feeling, and I'm sure for you it was even much harder to work on, but I can feel the care and thought went into this.
This is a beautiful send off for him, bittersweet,but sweet, nonetheless.

This song always made me feel happy, and it vibes so perfectly with Technoblade and his discography of content. Techno will forever be one of our favorites, a man who's name we will look back on with fond memories and a smile. Technoblade never dies! For he, lives on in our hearts
On a more lighthearted note, I saw a comment that went like, "Techno hated orphans so much he become a reverse orphan, dead with alive parents" and I just think of that every time I feel sad while thinking of him because I know for a fact he'd love that joke, it's right up his humor, and in turnm mine

Now that it’s getting colder, I’ve just started wearing the Technoblade hoodie that I got earlier this year… It feels strange that he never lived to have a winter where that merch was around.
Man, I held it together. And then I read some fucking comment about how hard it hit seeing the voices, *us*, say goodbye to him, and now my goddamn nose is gonna be stuffed up for the rest of the night.
We must carry on his legacy, we must all be EXTREMELY rude to small children!
This had me sobbing. Thank you for this tribute. I'm just remembering how great he was and how much I really miss him. It's hard to think about sometimes, but I am so glad we all still want to honor and remember him.
It'a kinda funny to think about how his whole chat making fun of him and acting like they enjoyed his suffering was really just for his benefit. Because he was the type of guy who is uncomfortable with affection, and that was our way to appreciate him. And now, we're all being less subtle about it.

One of the first lines "I'm just a story you've been told" made me realize, thats exactly how future generations are going to see techno, he's just a story they've been told, they never got to experience it the way most of us have felt it, yes they'll still probably be sad, they'll still enjoy his content, but in the end it's just a story they've been told. (I don't know if I worded this right but I just wanted to tell the creator that this song fit this perfectly)

Just came here to say I watched this once, when it first came out and it caused me to feel such strong emotions my mind kinda forgot about it. Today I listened to the song in a completely unrelated setting and my heart DROPPED. I didn't even remember this is where I listened to this song for the first time, but I knew it had to do with techno? So off I went to shazam and after searching the song title and technoblade here I am. The animatic was so good that you accidentally classically conditioned me to have a physical reaction to it.

Edit: Hi! Me from 2 months later coming back to this video. This left such a profound impact on me that, even though I had forgotten why I put this specific song onto my song playlist, as soon as I listened, I immediately started sobbing. Peech, you beautiful human being, thank you.
The way the meaning of “technoblade never dies) changed as he was diagnosed with cancer to a sort of supportive battlecry, and then after his passing to become a declaration of remembrance of his legacy, is just something that feels so poetic to me it’s hard to believe it actually happened and wasn’t actually the script of some tearjerker movie.
He was able to accomplish so much while he was alive, and even though he’s no longer with us, he still continues to make an impact
He is truly one of a kind, him and his community alike
The amount of kindness and help he and his community had inspired to go around even after his passing is amazing. I miss him every day

I loved the ending and the way you had him interacting with chat, but also tossing his crown to Dream and the banner with all his friends. God do I miss Techno, as I'm sure everyone does. He truly was a one of a kind guy that filled everyone with a sense of joy and exhilaration. I hope that there is an aspect of life that is so mysterious, that we could never get it, and that after life, there's something..
I fear nothing, an accurate, and terrifying sentiment.
I think it’s more of a wonder why we ever wish to reunite with the people we love in the afterlife. If it exists, the amount of people their must be unimaginable. How would you ever find the person/people you are searching for? Furthermore, how do we know they’d want to see us? I’ve read many people talking of how they can’t wait to meet Techno in another world but realistically, if it is really Techno, he would not randomly accept hugs from strangers no more than he would alive

Say giving every person their own afterlife that simotaniously has everyone else, while everyone else also has that.

But that's my only logicial plausability

May I say I love this? I can't get over with those frames that Philza fly around with (Technoplushie? Techno a baby pig? IDK but assume that's Techno) Techno in his arms. It's brilliant! Like I can see how it goes by frame. The moments just are so COOL! Also, I got my focus back while crying when you zoom on horse foot that running. (I like this scenes too. just look how cool they are, the moment look so real! I love it!!)
And yet, Not ever talk about how you decide animate in many scenes (which would take me so long time to explain I love they all) (but I have to say when the color frames coming, that SO AMAZING. I really meaning it. It's make me cry hard most haha but it really awesome! I would love to rewatch everyday)
Technically, I can't say enough how grateful you did for me from this animate. Seeing something that can remind me of him make me tear up so many times. Mostly, because it's just hurt a lot. But now days, I can feel less hurt and a bit be happy too 'cause this are how much he's meaning for his fandom that we would love and cherish he forever.
