They really are slow. But beautiful. In my single player mode I use them near my base due to their lights and large area. They help to illuminate the area and make it easier to see at night when I'm flying from above. Plus they have a nice aesthetic.
There's another taming method nobody seems to know about that's a hundred times easier than every other method combined. Astrocetus can't fit through behemoth gateways, so all you have to do is place a behemoth gateway on the ground, get the astrocetus to follow you into it, then place another behemoth gate behind it, that will trap it in place. Getting one to follow you down to the ground isn't a cake walk, but it requires no tek skiff, no replicator or even any accuracy, just a cannon and maybe a platform saddle. Also you get the saddle engram from beta master controller, not moeder
Legit these things need a massive overhaul if this thing is supposed to be the massive indestructible bomber of Ark then there's no reason why this thing is a complete featherweight. Turrets shred these things and their overall attacks are ridiculously weak aside from the bombs much like how the rock drake needs to be breedable the astrocetus needs a massive damage buff
So im 2 months into Ark, on the island, and about to face my first boss. We don't use cheats, or speed anything up. I see videos like this, I then realise it'll be like 2022 before I'm in this position lol
Try to incrase taming speed, harvest amount, and put weight add per level 99999 for me harvest amount is 15-20 and the taming speed is 10, it's not a cheat but saves alot of time 👍🏼
I would not really suggest the invisibles rates that sounds like you hit one tree and have enough for a wood base. I play 2x gather, 2x tame, and really upped mating / maturation since I play solo. Once you get good enough dinos you can easily get the reaources you need you just had to work to get there initially.
So the Space whale is using its snot as ammo then where is it nose why is there no cannon on his nose and the wiki says you an build on them? Keep it up this is a great ark

On public servers I see ppl with dlc “dinos” if you want to call them that and not space ships or weaponized mecha with legs and tails leaping across the map. They are never below lvl 30 and they kill you just because they can. Even if you have a simple raft or thatch house they will shit on you because AND I QUOTE “they can”. What’s the point of playin g a game like this in 2020 where it’s pay to win and ppl are toxic toward newcomers 🤷♂️
Um you know there are PvE server right not just PvP? Ark is never pay to win. Unless you think its like that. If you have trouble with people killing you on pvp then go on a PvE Server or better yet play single player.

I have a few Astro’s, and I love them!- BUT- THEY ARE SLOWER THAN A SLOTH..
Me with a couple hundred gachas with all levels put into speed

the invesible kinda cheap but I did the same for melee to avoid breeding dinos
