Hi! I am completely homebound. Bored out of my mind. Your Videos on TH-cam really help pass the time. I'm trying to get my brother to watch them, too. Great job of making it interesting!
i really like when you say the metals when you see them. as a newer trash picker ive been pickin up metal but dont know what is what yet. lol. but i appreciate you naming the metals. it helps me learn!
Our yard takes appliances for same price as light iron, so I take the whole think, cut chord, take out motor and then scrap as light iron. Love your treasure hunting and wish we had that trash day in my town.
Tip...something I’ve noticed in a lot of flea mkt videos, sellers who provide shade for their customers, have more customers and they usually buy something. Glad to see you picking up the umbrellas and EZ ups. Paint tacos on them!!
This, I think, is the first metal chair that you picked up, that we will see in almost every episode. Home Depot must of sold them this year, and the light brown fabric rips easily.
I only take the bikes if broken and flat tires. I have knocked on doors and it's always scrap but not worth breaking a kids heart if unsure. I also agree on lawnmowers, you can usually be sure if they're broken but the fresh grass is always a hint.
That first mower you picked up was a vintage lawn mower. Not too many of those around anymore. If i was you i would of tried to flea market it AS IS for an easy 15 bucks. Believe it or not there are collectors out there. Those portable gazebos/yard canopies are a dime a dozen. The cover wears out, and the whole thing is scrap
Hi TacoStacks, I agree the cool old desk looked pretty toast but how were just the drawers? The fronts look really pretty and the hardware.... nice; ) I bet they would sell at the flea I'd buy them for a buck. : D I might reuse the hardware to dress up another piece of furniture that has plain drawer fronts to give it a shabby chic look : ) then paint the piece using chalk paint. You could give it a try sometime just see if the drawers sell as is. I've found tons of awesome repurpose ideas for using just drawers from antique furniture on Pinterest. I'm always looking for hardware like that. Love your videos, your positive attitude, and hustle. Happy Hunting Taco Stacks. 1L Michele
Men and women think so differently, don't we, 1L Michele? I'd love to drive around behind Mr. Taco just to take the things he isn't interested in. I loved that stack of clay flowerpots, too. He can have all the metal. I'll take all the chichi things.
i know lol I love watching his videos. My dog looks at me like I'm a nut because I'm yelling at the computer...TACO WAIT ...WAIT TAKE THAT... I WANT IT.....I CAN MAKE SOMETHING OUTTA THAT!!! lmao!
How funny! I think the same thing, and there are so many items I want to see better (linens, anything pink, etc.) that he never gives a second glance at - lol.
Lurker here, but Michele's comment and your responses here prompted me to post because I'm the same lol. We don't have as much stuff to salvage/save here because we have such a small population here in Australia, but if I was over there I'd be on his trail for sure to pick up the stuff he rejects :) I practically salivate watching these videos seeing all the treasure.
How often does this neighborhood sit out this type of scrap? Our city picks up once a month for scrap that doesn't fit in the trash can, and I have never seen this much scrap, even then. You are lucky.
I can get over $100. for Kerosene heaters. I can yard sale plastic lawn toys for good money. One auction I bought 8 of them for about $20. and within 48 hours all were sold and I got over $200. for them.
Great vids x I buy Halloween and Christmas all year long x I bet a lot of us gals do x try selling them out of season rather than storing them. I'd buy that skeleton any day of the year 😀
I believe that those kegs can be returned to places that sell kegs as the person who purchased them filled would have to had paid a deposit on the keg itself. Perhaps you can get the deposit. That’s how it works where I live.
I sell over 200 vacuums per year, that I pick up in people's trash. Many just need a belt, or lint cleaned out of the hose. I scrap a few for parts and rarely have to buy any parts. 200 X $15. (average) = $3,000. per year and I never spend more than 20 minutes fixing them.
TACO,, ANAMILS ARE LIVING HUMAN BEINGS,,AND LIKE US,,THEY GETY VERY LÒMESONE,, IT IS VERY HARD FOR THEM TO BE LEFT ALONE,,THEY REALY LOVE STUFFED ANAMILS,,HALF THERE SIZE,,THEY CAN CUDDLE WITH THEM LAY ON THEM AND HUG THEM OR SMILLER ALSO,, IF YOU LEAVE MUSIC SOFT MUSIC OR EVEN TV ON FOR THEM THEY LOVE IT,,THE BEST IE A BROTHER OR SISTER TO KEEP EACH OTHER COMPANY,, THEY PLAY AND SPEEP TOGHETER,,REMEMBER SHE IS JUST A BABY,,AND SHE KNOWS YOU ARE HEŔ DAD,,IM NOT HARPING AT YOU JÙST SAYING IDEAS,,DONT FORGET TO GET A BIGGER CAGE SHE WELL GROW FAST IN SIZE,,YOU DONT WANT HER IN A TO SMALL CAGE,,THAT WOULD BE VERY BAD,,,,PLUS THAT CRAMPING,,,PUPPYS CATCH THE SAME STUFF PEOPLE DO,,FROM THEM,, SO TELL SALSA NOT TO KISS PEOPLE YOU DONT KNOW,,GOD BLESS YOU,!CHERI DOW,,
Just be careful about hostile and aggressive homeowners. I once had an angry Jamaican man arrive home just as I was picking through his throwaways. He went berserk on me, and told me I shouldn't go through his junk without his permission.
Stop cutting off the cords because you are greedy other people can't get some appliances that still work because of people like you people do put things out for people who can't afford other stuff .
It's not what Taco's into. He's obviously making a living for himself doing just what he does. I think he should keep doing what makes him comfortable. :)
I'm having fun rewatching younger Taco! I learn something new each time I watch one. So glad you are still making them, and the dogs greet you 😮!

You reached one hundred thousand subscribers , so happy for you.

I've wondered that too. My yard take the whole vacuum.
Wow your neighborhood is amazing to scrap and trash pick! 😍
Trying to catch up on all the video's you have made. I like the way you explain what metals are and what the prices are of the day

Nice box of antique books, let us know how you do with those.
do you ever make videos showing what you warned from gathering the scrap? would be neat to see how much you made.
I have many scrap videos on my channel all the stuff gathered in those videos have been from garbage picking videos or auction vlogs. Check em out!
Awesome as always🍾🤗💕

Some of those old microwaves you find look better than the one I'm currently using! LOL! I might have to visit your flea market table.
You have an awareness about things that may or may not be out for trash.
Do you know those swivel office chairs have a chunk of metal in them? I have friends that pick and they love to pick those quite heavy apparently.

Because it calls stealing.
Oh man! Send me that box of books!
Enjoyed the haul, 6 years ago.
Do you wear a back brace?
My car broke down yesterday. Not fun. I got some brass bowl planters, but only one stand. I didn't want the scrap guy to get them. too cool.
Should have taken the draws from that old table. Could have sold the draws at flea market as wall decor.
Wow! Scrap AND free beer. What a life. Lol.
That wasnt beer..
Halloween skellington was cool! :)
I believe that those kegs can be returned to places that sell kegs as the person who purchased them filled would have to had paid a deposit on the keg itself. Perhaps you can get the deposit. That’s how it works where I live.

One mans trash, is another mans Treasure...lol..Good Luck..
Seatbelt around the kerosene heater? May look silly, but it may work? Oh yeah, a keg!$$
On that old junk dresser, next time take the drawers only. That hardware is spendy, and craft vendors would love it for display pieces!

Wish I could find blow molds in the trash 🎃😊!!
Would love to see a close up on the books you found 😊
How do you know is steel wire. I thought all cord was copper????
He was probably wrong, I've never seen steel wire. It was likely aluminum, which is also quite conductive. Used mainly in coaxial cables.

Why did you stop taking umbrellas
Why do you always park so far away??? Lol

I wouldn't cut the cords off of vacumm or rug cleaners if they are in clean conditions.
Thumbs up if you wanna see a taco/Marcus video!
Just be careful about hostile and aggressive homeowners. I once had an angry Jamaican man arrive home just as I was picking through his throwaways. He went berserk on me, and told me I shouldn't go through his junk without his permission.
