Slight correction, V1 has a slow BPM 173 while V1 has 174 BPM.
You're not wrong that V1 is slower. You're just wrong on the fact that V1 is longer.
Well they actually added the False Hero part of Powerdown, which makes the minutes longer than V1 since that version didn't have a False Hero part.

I can see why people prefer Powerdown V2, but V1 is also great. something I've been hoping to see is a cover of v2 where it's the old MX VS the new one. I feel like it would sound good

The only thing weighing down v2 is the fact that the last part from v1 was completely removed in terms of the vocals
Edit: I already know this but the last part of the vocals from v1 are now apart of the instrumental in v2

V1 treats it more as a song but V2 makes up for the elements V1 lacks. V1 has a better MX voice but lacks in scaling of MX, poses and the like. V2 fills the gap in MX's monologue with a gruesome cutscene that changes the state of the ending of the song with BF holding a long note in his grief. V2 is more polished but V1 played more to feral nature of MX in his notes. They guy looked like he was struggling to hold back the primal fury within several times in V1, the big sections where all poses of MX are cycled through in immediate sequence.

I will say it again V2 Powerdown will always be better cause you get to see starting Mario then MX also how do you miss that much
