- This is the build instructions (no voiceover) for our E-Medina Almost-Ready-to-Fly (ARF) 2-meter RC electric glider. We are assembling the F5-RES/F5L version of the E-Medina, launched with an electric motor. The F3-RES/F3L version of the Medina is launched with a bungee, and the assembly video for the Medina can be found here: • Medina ARF 2 Meter RC ... .
The E-Medina is a balsa built-up glider with a carbon boom, carbon spar and other reinforcements and is covered with a light plastic film. This is a RES glider, which means it has Rudder, Elevator, and Spoiler channels for control. The V-tails are controlled by a pull-string system with a spring in the control surface.
As the E-Medina ARF comes mostly assembled, it usually takes 1-2 hours to put together at home.

That’s one funky cold Medina.
Great build video. The Medina builds so quick. Mine will be done for next weekend.
Have fun!
Endlich ein Video das alles schön zeigt
Nicely done, thanks Thomas. My advice is to get the V tails nice and tight on the carbon pins (you can wipe CA to increase pin thickness - just ensure dry before sliding on v tail). You missed a trick not showing your nice ballast set.
great video! Liked and subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
Hi, what kind of electric screwdriver do you use? I haven't found it in the ultimate tool guide, nor on the web using picture search... UPDATE: Just found it - it's Miniware ES15.
I recently purchased one and have some questions. What are the recommended throws for elevator and rudder? Any expos suggested?. Where do the ballast go?. Any manual for the set up?
We recommend +/- 15mm for throws. I run around 25% expo, and the ballast is put in the ballast tube (main wing spar).
What kind of CA are you using here? Getting an e-Medina soon and I’m new to building so appreciate any advice you can share!
We are using thin and super thin CA glue here.
Enjoy the E-Medina! We love how it flies and looks :)
where should the CG be initially with everything installed
Fly it with 75mm first, that's a great starting point.
What is the purpose of that spray?
That is accelerator/kicker; it helps CA cure quickly.
What's that stuff you spray on the cyano?
Accelerator / kicker. Helps CA cure very quickly.
What would be the absolute lightest motor ESC and battery combination to get only one launch to 100m with lets say 20min radio time? Looking for lightest AUW and wing loading. I don't mind throwing another pack in for every launch. Thanks
You will struggle to get recommended CG with a lighter setup, you'd likely need to build a lighter v tail to achieve it. Most people need the 3s 550 battery to get the CG. AUW around 450 grams.
Where is the Medina actually built?
Medinas are made in China.
