you are an unbelievably great accessible teacher I learnt sososo much I'm a bass player tryna put these lines into my vocabulary no bass teacher ever taught me any of this xD Thanks
Great video, Sean. Your playing and your attention to detail in analysing the changes are some of the best I've seen and heard. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Hey man! You are amazing your ear is incredible!! My uncle has his own albums two of them to be exact and I want to know if you could break down the chords to all his songs!! He has 21 if them, my favorites are back to you and glorify you name it’d be a real blessing if you did I’ve been trying to learn them for years but my ears not that great.. please help a bother out🙏🏻🙏🏻
It is in the key of Bb, but that has little to do with the chord being played at the moment of the lick... you don't want to think of keys when improvising, you want to think of the chord he is approaching
And that looks like a 4 chord in the key of Bb.. Why calling it a 251 progression? Please explain to me because I honestly have been watching your videos and this one is kinda confusing .. I honestly can’t apply it to my playing until I get the concept
@@mikebrooklyn1001 Ohhh, I got you, I understand where you are coming from now. So yes, you are correct, that technically it should be called a 5-1-4, since we are moving to the 4 chord which is Eb, so yes that is correct. I think in my case I actually changed the tonic to Eb at the moment so it became the 1... it's probably not correct from a theoretical point of view though since it's more of an ear decision for me, but I think it would easier to say 5-1-4 probably.. Thanks for bringing that up
You’re so welcome..I really appreciate your good work Sean...Your channel has indeed inspired me and influenced my playing. Hope I can ask you another question? What key is mike bereal playing in?
Thank me later.

Why Eb?
