Spot on assessment of these new products! I was shocked as well with the lack of new products from Abu. Was really hoping for a new bfs reel to pop up. I haven't seen anything too exciting from them in that category since 2016. The 992z was kind of an oddity. Thanks again, and I am looking forward to your next reel review/shootout.
I got the zillion hd it’s bad ass. Small but bad ass. It’s so smooth that you can’t even feel the line coming in. Feels like you’re reeling with the drag turned all the way down. Casts amazing aswell. Handled some nice steelhead this last weekend.
Think I’m going to have to try the new Zillion HD for heavy deep cranking. Putting it on my Megabass Valkyrie 7’4”H+ should be a stellar cranking/Alabama rig/glide bait/mag draft setup.
I love the fact they finally got the Tatula to a comfortable palming size but I'm holding off for the 70 sv since I only run braid.. you can hear Seth feider talking about it in the promo video so it's already made and he's using it so it shouldn't be far behind in being released.. I also love my Zillion 1000 but won't be getting any variants .. I would like to try the spool out of the saltwater one but definitely hate mag sealed bearings and the overall look of it..
It would’ve been almost impossible to top last year for Daiwa. They had so much come out. I saw on Daiwa China’s website new Zillion rods are coming out. They claim to have SiC guides and a 3DX wrapping, so I’m thinking they’ll be a replacement for the BLX/Black Label line. I wonder if we’ll see those at the Bassmaster classic next month?
Daiwa is the absolute best. Nothing and I mean nothing beats the magnetic braking system. Some people think centrifugal is the best but how can a system that relies on friction beat a system that relies on nothing making contact? Daiwa for the win.
I think the Shimano spool lip is best especially for florocarbon- it's patented Daiwa or Lew's can't copy it.All other spool lips are out dated. "Shimano ARC Spool is a patented spool design with an angled spool lip. This design enables the line to leave the spool with less friction and in smaller coils resulting in longer more accurate casts." Also when you send Shimanos in for a cleaning they change almost all important parts for free - Daiwa will call you with the part price and make you pay.
Hobie Wan Kenobe has several reviews of this reel. It's a good-looking reel, actually, but not something I would use. The Silver Wolf has some potential for my style of fishing.

I am kinda shattered.. I waited for a while until the Sheng He LingL was in stock again (it showed "10 in stock" for several sellers on aliexpress a few days ago) - I ordered one, and it seems INSTANTLY all offers from all sellers on aliexpress have been deleted?! I have no idea if my order will be shipped or not now or what's the situation in general.. if only someone here had some connections to the seller side.. *wink *wink //edit: Nevermind. I don't know how, why or when - but apparently all/most offers are back online now, however without any of the former 10 left handed reels offered? I don't get it, however my order is marked as "shipped" now, so I'm hoping for the best. :P

they probably havent come out yet. But it might be a rod that you would have to have a JDM shop special order

I think they will bring the zillion hd to the US soon. It'll be like the new and expensive version of the tatula elite and elite pitch and flip

Funny how the Zillion TW1000 is SIlver but the SilverWolf is Black and SIlverCreek is Bronze.
