😂you guys are killing me With the giggles 🤣🤣🤣 I love shaboozy! So happy to see him getting some recognition! The first time I saw him I thought for sure he was a Florida man cuz of those wicks, But later found out he’s a Virginian! This was the first time I’ve seen this video, lyrics imply he ran from somewhere/ someone, drinking issues ( which he’s talked about in other songs) and is struggling on whether to return? Video looks like he was running away, changed his mind, stole the truck to drive back to his woman… and was trying to get back by Sunday? But I don’t know? Haha. I recommend checking out his song ‘let it burn’, or ‘beverly hills’ where he does his rap thing a bit. Either way… love you guys💜
Might as well wind down the country Chris Stapleton road too...when it comes to Stapleton, always go with live versions when possible-u wont be disappointed. Stapleton might as well be black 😆😉Good place to start is, "Tennessee Whiskey" live Austin City Limits. Secondly, another Shaboozey fire track i Highly recommend is, "Tipsy" (a bar song). Lastly, a slept on black country singer is Blanco Brown... Check out "CountryTime" official video...Blanco refers to it as 'Trailor Trap'. All three i mentioned are absolute friggin fire gentlemen ❤️🔥 ty! P.s. u mentioned black people in rock, check out TPain live cover of Black Sabbath "War Pigs" ;-) p.p.s I'll give u some time to get settled in before i drop Billy Strings on you 😆 lol till next time...
Oh yeah,, and RMR was on a Billy Strings record - the name of it is escaping me at the moment, but that was my introduction to RMR and then I went down the rabbit hole... which ended up being curiously shallow since that album just never happened. RMR is different. I really hope we get to see a lot more of him. Saw Billy Strings last year. Haven't been to a show that melted my face like that since Merlefest when Doc was still with us.
@@banksofchaos93im not familiar with RMR, but im def gonna check them out now, thank you! I was fortunate enough to get to see Doc Watson in concert, early 2000s. Always wanted to go to Merlefest, but never made it. And lucky you ;-) a Billy Strings concert is on my bucket list-looks like there's a lot of positive energy there. Thanks for ur comments, sending love ❤
Would love y’all doing country. Great black country singer from 60’s and ‘70’s. His name is Charley Pride. Classic old country. Burgers and Fries, Is Anybody Going To San Antone, Kaw-Liga, Kiss An Angel Good Morning, and a really great one Mississippi Cotton Picking Delta Days.
I see A Bar Song has already been recommended. I would add maybe Let It Burn, Snake, Gas, and Last of my Kind. Rvshvd and Willie Jones have a song with Blanco Brown called For My Dawgs that might be a good starting place. All three of them have solo work to dig into also if you're interested. Blanco Brown has a healthy sort of country-with-beats catalogue. He has a record with T. I. called Trap Still Bumpin that might be a cool place to start. His TN Whiskey shows off his vocals a little more though. Willie Jones has some swampy blues stuff going on here and there too. Down By the Riverside is good. And of course Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen had that Broadway Girls song, which was a romp, but i can only take so much autotune at once 😅 and there is a LOT, so fair warning. For bluesy rock with a Black frontman, check out the criminally underrated Ghost Hounds. Maybe Last Train to Nowhere. I don't even know what to say about Breland - he is one surprise after another, and his voice and hook-writing abilities honestly put him leagues ahead of so much of what's out there. Best introduction to him is probably My Truck. And he did a couple of records with Keith Urban. check out Throw It Back - way better than i expected. I hope the industry doesn't ruin that kid - he's something special. And T. Pain has been being T. Pain :) He did Should've Been a Cowboy with Jelly Roll recently. I could go on and on but i'll spare y'all 😂
Yeah I'd have to agree that is sonically pleasing, but I found the disconnect to the video a bit off-putting. "I've been talking to my mom about walking down this winding road" had me laughing so hard I could hardly breathe.
You lads are the best freakin medicine! I love me a bit of country - on the fence on this one 🤔 check out Darius Rucker (aka from Hootie & the Blowfish) - Wagon Wheel 👌
Oh hell yeah! The algorithm steered me right steering me to y'all. Shaboozey is where it's at, but this song isn't his best (imo). Not saying it's bad at all, but he's been doing this for a minute - i'll come back with some title recs. But yeah, this video is baffling 😅 But I think the way he's doing this and thinking about genre is the future. (I say this as a middle-aged white grandmother from the deep south who grew up on bluegrass and is so stoked to see "the country music scene" leave the era of big overproduced generic glurge and casual racism and zealous jingoism and get good again, and artists like Shaboozey are bringing it. His voice was made for this imo. And he isn't in this neck of the woods by himself. If you think this is interesting, check out Blanco Brown, Breland - tell you what, i'll brb with a list.
Alot of yall definitely didnt get it lmao its astonishing, it all intwines together. He going down his road of thought thinking he loves a woman, realizes she dont love him, says F life and un alives himself
I've heard (not sayin its gospel) that "country music is 3 chords, and the truth"...its all relative I suppose. BTW You two fkn rock! 😆Seriously tho...love your channel. Great reaction. You're fkn hilarios!
you guys need to react to Jesse Welles if you’re going down a windy road . he is the Ren of Country. maybe start with .. The Poor … but any one will do . don’t be late . you won’t regret it . lovin your reactions bros .
Im a renagade but if your going down country im in but it got to be all th mf branches of country especially outlaw, oxycotton blugrass, old school to new old souls so much amazing song wrotters how many raps sampled country.dolly and kenny islands in the stream odb sampled it forget the song title sorry.
Notation and instrumentation. But if you re-cut country tunes with RnB instrumentation/production, your ears would all of a sudden pick out how much Blues it has. I’ve listened to soul, RnB and country for so long my ears are adjusted enough to hear the blues in country.
I know you guys have done soo much Ren....but if you haven't heard The Big Push singing Bongo Bong live....its a must!!! I bet yu can't watch it without dancing!! th-cam.com/video/EQAUupOFarw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=b2evIYmxe14DkSyB

Love it when you guys pop up on my morning feed. Your laughing makes me smile 😂
Mos definitely
That was sonically pleasing and absolutely hilarious. Thanks for this very entertaining reaction!
Country is all about feeling good or feeling bad with story telling...
From Texas. W Shaboozey.

‘ i’ve been talking to my momma about walkin down a winding road’ I’m in tears 😂 yous guys are hilarious !
I near died of laughter in my kitchen when I heard this!
Laughing is infectious 😂
I'm Brazillian, and i love this song, shaboozey is a goat of country fr
Did you call Highway a “feel good song”? He’s singing about heartache and being on the losing side of a battle with depression.
First time I Heard of Saboozey I liked the song. lol too both of you

Speaking of RMR, y'all might get a kick out of his big intro splash, Rascal. That song hitting the airwaves was an *event.*

Yeah I'd have to agree that is sonically pleasing, but I found the disconnect to the video a bit off-putting. "I've been talking to my mom about walking down this winding road" had me laughing so hard I could hardly breathe.

Not sure about rock or country, but check out Body Count for metal. Fronted by Ice-T.

You might try reacting to Kasey Chambers cover of Lose Yourself. I think it would be a fantastic reaction for you two❤
I 💯 second this. Live, Civic Theatre AU version. Kasey is an Australian country music singer ;-)

The highwayman is a tried and true part of country.
