Automated Safety Hitch! Amazing Product but I wouldn't recommend buying one... Ask me why!?!

    In this Installment Ryan Jeske shows you how his Automated Safety Hitch hooks to the #F650 Supertruck.
    This is one of the most innovative and amazing products I have ever come across. The product is 100% legit and solid, performing well in every category they claim it should.
    But, when I purchased my hitch it took over 9 months to build and upon my arrival to pick it up the owner, Mr. Joe Jameson told me that mine was involved in an accident just the night before. He showed me where and everything, even including the skid marks on the road (but I never did see my damaged automated safety hitch).
    For the next 36 hours I drove Mr. Jameson around to his new larger building where they were about to start production of a Commercial Unit. I was told that a replacement unit was being located. So the next day, I tell Mr. Jameson that I need to get going and so he "kindly" loans me his personal safety hitch which is the one in this video, with the promise that mine would be ready within 2 months and he would ship it to me and have freight return the loaner.
    This was 2 years ago, he has called me numerous times asking about parts availability and things of that nature. He's left me messages asking when he could expect the new parts from me. I recently contacted him and he claims he doesn't recall any of this, nor does he recall ever seeing the F650 Supertruck or driving around in it for a day going to lunch, etc...
    I have never received my Automated Safety Hitch, I emailed a request to have the difference refunded back to me, the cost between a loaner unit value and the top end unit that I ordered. No response at all.
    This is one of the most innovative products I have come across to date. I would deal these in a HEARTBEAT if the company hadn’t screwed me around continually to this day... Step it up Mr. Jameson and we can talk.

    Hey man! Thank you for posting this video! I have just had a similar bad experience with Mr. Dirty Joe Jameison. I have a 40' toy hauler tt that I bought to take my disabled, wheelchair bound daughter and three younger children on trips. I have a GMC 2500 Quigley Savana wheelchair van that I built to pull the camper. It doesn't feel good going down the road so I ordered a Triple Play ASH. I paid half down when I ordered. Two weeks later Joe called and said my unit was ready, and asked me to wire the other half of the money so that when I came down to Texas I could just hook up and go. The unit he had was not a triple play, we spent the day much like you, touring the warehouse, and going out to eat. Joe promised he would get my unit to me by the end of April- first week of May, and he would deliver it personally and help me hook up to my tt with my van. Several BS stories, and false promises later he never showed up. Funny enough my unit was also "in an accident" when he tried to deliver it to me. He offered to let me use his personal triple play unit, actually drove up here with it to my house, and then said he couldn't let me borrow it for insurance purposes. I am now waiting for my refund of almost $ 13,000. I agree 100% that this product would be amazing if it could be legitimately produced. Unfortunately, you just can NOT trust dirty Joe. If he is willing to swindle a family with a disabled child, he is willing to swindle anyone.

      Towing Crazy oh man I’m so sorry to hear that. I have been hoping that my experience was isolated and just a bad experience but I felt like Joe was so dishonest and jumbled that he was pulling something over on me. My unit took over 9 months to have the custom hitch built for the f650 (which he actually did and did it right) and the hitch was sent to be installed on the truck being built. But when I drove the truck there he just screwed me around for 2 days. Said my trailer was in an accident and he would lend me his (which he did, I drove to TX from AZ to pick it up. I wasn’t leaving empty handed). And I still have that unit to this day... aside from that the unit has been great! Haha. I’m really sorry that you’re dealing with him. I put this video out so maybe some others will find it and think twice before sending him any money. Sucks because the product is SO awesome.

Yet my invoice has never been fulfilled as ordered. I don't know. If you can drive there easily to show up in person you'll be OK. If you call him he will probably offer you a job! lol He does so every time he's talked to me. I'm like "no, give me my product". haha. But the product is awesome and has been VERY solid. No issues at all with mine except batteries and tires with is to be expected. By "mine" i mean "joe's" lol.

      Yes Sir! I already had the RV otherwise I would have just probably gone with a bumper pull setup. But I must say that after pulling about 10,000 miles with this thing I would hate to get rid of it. It handles considerably better but mostly it corners so nice that I'd hate to tow without it! I do like that it has the winch systems too so that if I get stuck I can unhook from it and winch out my truck, then winch the trailer back up to the truck and keep rolling! Thanks for the view buddy, hope you're doing well.

  • @Bohica-tq3ps
    @Bohica-tq3ps 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ok, when you're hooked up the dolly becomes an extension of your truck. So, how is it to back up? Does the axle unlock so you can jack-knife the trailer? We are running a one ton, crewcab, eight foot bed Dodge diesel with a 36 foot fiver. Turning radius is horrible, class 8 semi turns shorter. F-650 running a Cummins? Pretty awesome rig.

    • @PrescottCaliberClub
      @PrescottCaliberClub  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish it had a Cummins. The newer F650's didn't offer anything but the Powerstroke. It has a different Turbo setup and I have done a full delete and custom tune on it so it's a little suped up but not crazy. It's heavy so a race tune wouldn't do any good anyway.
      As far as the backup goes, it's insane. The axel actually frees up to turn when you're going forward (activated by the turn signals) and when you back up you lock the wheels straight on the safety hitch. When that axel locks straight it acts just like your normal truck would except that you now have an additional 9' or so where the trailer is further back. I saw the owner jackknife his F250 with a 35' trailer so far that I could not longer see the truck! Check out their website, they have some decent videos showing the capabilities of the system.
      www.safetytowingsystems.com
      Like I said in the description though, I would not recommend this COMPANY at all. The Product itself is one of the most amazing products I've come across in the towing world. But the company has basically ripped me off, never gave me the hitch I ordered; They only substituted a used hitch and now deny that they ever knew me or had anything to do with me. They don't even recall the 48 hours I spent driving around with the OWNER in my huge F650 while they screwed me around after I drove all the way to Texas and they didn't have my hitch after telling me it was done and ready. Horrific experience that I have had consults with multiple attorneys about. The bottom line was that I will spend more money and probably never get this guy to make it right.
      That said, if you're willing to deal with him and the company to get your hands on one I do not regret owning the unit. I just know that if anything at all goes wrong with this I will have to do ALL the fixing myself. There is NO WAY they will ever help me. I still don't have the hitch that I bought over 2 years ago. Last time I spoke to Mr. Jamieson he told me that he doesn't remember me, he doesn't recall ever dealing with me and that there's nothing more he can do. I have my invoice showing I paid in full for the hitch, I have ONLY the "loaner" hitch he gave me; He gave me that hitch when I showed up and was told that mine was damaged by a car running off the road just the day before I arrived... Yeah Right...
      Just wanted to give you all the info on my experience before you go and buy one and then come back upset with me. Like I always say, I love the product and DESPISE the company.

      @@PrescottCaliberClub Thanks Ryan, just wondered how it all worked. We are at the point where we are (or were, before this dang virus) looking at downsizing to a travel trailer and gas motor pickup. Didn't know Ford quit using the Cummins. Years ago I was taliking to a mobil mechanic who serviced Caterpillar stuff. The truck was covered with Cat decals, but was running a Cummins. Brother, our stories are insanely too similar. I picked one up last year. Same lies from Joe, said he’d have mine ready, showed up and not even close. Tried to tell me to wait, is said naw, I’m leaving here with something. Spent 15hrs assembling one myself with the help of his welder till 2am. That was a year ago and still giving me the run around. Just giving up like you did. I have enjoyed the hitch though, have out about 10k miles on it pulling with an 05 excursion, having to align and tweak it myself, cause like you said, he doesn’t care one bit after he has his money.

      Man that is too bad, I'm sorry to hear it happened to you too. I feel the same exact way, I love the unit but hate the company. I've probably put about the same mileage on mine, maybe a bit more and running strong. I just broke my winch cable last time I was out so I need to change that, but aside from that it's holding up sell. I am a bit worried if the computer components were to go out, but it's a relatively simple setup so I'm sure I'll figure something out.

      @@PrescottCaliberClub well. At least you got the computer components. I didn’t. Lol. I wired up a toggle switch to my dash to operate the lock manually, and a furrion camera that shows the tie rod lock paddle so I can be sure it’s locked. I’m toying around with installing a ram cylinder on it with either a stand alone 12v hydraulic pump or tying into my power steering gear box with a high output pump, but that would definitely be a lot of trial and error. How cool would this thing be with synchronized power steering! I do a lot of boondocking on rough terrain and turning sucks particularly backing up in tight spots or sharp turning on soft ground.
