I really buy into this whole trilogy being a real tormented relationship story where his beloved can not love him( or herself) in a fully committed way such as you may see with bpd or related conditions. I feel there is a description of self harm by his love(cutting) and eventual suicide/ homicide by car crash into water. the temple built for future daughters may mean she was with child. this trauma is so deep to vessel that it can't be said directly. sleep and the masks allow him safety and a way to safely convey this story to the audience who have their own stories to relate to. I think he also worries also about her salvation and her "token"sleep being immortal which in a way keeps her spirit and memory alive forever. I could be way off here ,just my thoughts.if so no disrespect meant to the band. either way it's the best connection of music to emotion I have ever heard. just beautiful artistry

I'm definitely doing my best with the lyrics but at the same time I'm just letting the work hit me and wreak its havoc on my emotions the way it's designed to. I think the most important part is appreciating how vividly the emotions are conveyed and respecting that there seems to be a very real origin out of which these expressions come. I agree, it's the best connection of music to emotion I've heard, too.
The lore of this is incredible. You can get lost in it for forever. But the best part of this music is that you can also fit it to your personal story. It fills so many different worlds. The fact that Vessel delivers this in such a beautifully personally felt intimate manner makes it the best. I only listen to music with singers who are emotionally invested in their craft. If I can’t hear the emotion in you and connect then I can’t invest. When I first heard Sleep Token it was over. I have never heard someone emotionally connected with their music before. They have ruined me for all other artists. All other artists now sound bland.
