Top 10 idol Performers of all time. I mean think about it people - legitimate bonafide SUPERSTARS have come from Idol (some not even finale winners) and Joshua is right up there with the best. This is one of my all time faves - and Idol has given us some truly amazing moments. Glad it’s still around and also glad we can still relive some of these from the past. Even if some never have had the careers that they should have, being able to have once in a lifetime performance on the greatest singing “competition” of all time is priceless. No one can take that away from them.
It’s 2023 and Joshua’s performance of all his songs in that performance still gives me the same goosebumps as I had received on his first performance. From his rendition of Jar of Hearts to I’d Rather Go Blind and beyond - I can’t listen to just one song; I’ve got to listen to all❤❤❤
American racism defeated Joshua Ledet, the best of that year. Incredible. A singer who left everyone in awe of his singing. But God is great and must have kept good things for him.

The year Joshua Ledet blew away American Idol with all his performances with standing ovations by judges. One of the best vocalist in Idol history. I still cannot believe he came 3rd. Dont know what America is voting. Year 2012 was Joshua's year! The best vocals hands down. Still watching 2020...

For someone so young, Joshua has incredible instincts to know when to hold back and when to let loose. He was masterful. If he doesn't make it as a big star, it will not be his fault.
I've watched all his performance an unhealthy amount of times, to the point where I barely even remember what the originals sound like and instead remember Joshua's renditions. Absolutely amazing.

Josh is unbelievable- re listening this in June 2020. I couldn't take music industry seriously after not only that he didn't win but he didn't become a major global superstar. Jimmy truly messed this up. Whether cause he is black or other reason- the world is a tiny bit more dull for not having Joshua Ledet to listen to. I check his performances every now and then and think- it's not too late. All he needs is some good tunes..or some composer that truly gets good music... Hope Joshua finds a way. His voice is too good, his gift too amazing not to be shared with the world.
I thought the song was lyrically beautiful when The Bee Gees sang it, but it never moved me until Joshua sang it. He took an old Bee Gees song and added a new sound to it, this rendition would attract the 20 somethings and up! He's not a singer, he's an artist and that's so much more. I'm still waiting for your concerts! All good things come to those who wait!
The judges even said it a couple times that season to him that "its a God gifted talent." Who cares if he didn't win?? At least they know a gift from God is an unmeasurable force. The presence of God was flowing through him to show people how great the sound of heaven can be. Even though he didn't win in the competition, God will reward him with much more.
I can only say...AMAZING!!! Lord of mercies! So few people born with an instrument in their throat. Whitney, Patti Labell, Barbara Streisand, Peabo Bryson and Stephanie Mills to name a few and Joshua Ledet. He has the gift.

This season was the best, Josh blew me awY every week, no one has done that since, best artist that ever stepped foot on that stage, he has set the bar really high, no one will ever be able to top it, Candice was great, but she didn't even blow me away like Josh did!!

Man i remember watching this back 6-7 years ago and thinking this is the best cover from any reality music show. Fast forward to 2019 and i always come back to this to compare with new contestant over years from all the shows and this is still hands down the best.
2023 and there’s still no one that comes close to him. I thank God I got to witness his anointing in this man, there’s no other explanation for his talent but just an abundance of Gods grace and anointing in Josh being poured out to the world.
This might be the best American Idol performance ever. Not sure between this and "If I Can't Have You" by Adam Lambert. The emotion, the vocal, everything...just perfect!!

The song was written for Otis Redding to record, but he never got to record it. I believe Joshua did it just like Otis would have done it. That's why this is so good to me.
The fact is that the Judges honestly wanted him to win. It's only up to the voting poll. And its predominately people who are not exposed to music like this, just mainstream music, which is sad. My generation is hooked on late 80s to 90s songs to early 2000s. It's sad we cant go back and enjoy these masterpieces . His voice is incredible, and it fully breathes a fresh air to the world of music. With Beuno Mars whose bringing back old school says of singing, I honestly think Joshua really started it all.
This was the season I gave up on idol. I don't know much about the technical side if music but I do know star when I see it. No one that season was on Joshua's level, and there were some of the best ever on idol that season. I never watched another episode after the show he was "voted off". I wish josh had taken a different path to fame other than A I. I think that's why he's not one of the biggest stars out there today. A I works great for some and not do great for others. Artist like josh have a shorter career life span anyway. Every time they perform lime he does, they leave a little piece of themselves on the stage. Yes he should have. But a part of me is glad he didn't as he would be restricted like the winners are. Also look how long kelly Clarkson was in her deal 10 yrs and she made almost nothing . Read the fine print to these competition show they make like $14k a year if you do the math.. no joke its like slave labor... this way he can do his own thing.. but i wish he had help from some of the celebrities on the show like JLO that said his voice is one voices she has heard in 50 yrs...

Joshua was like 19 and Jessica was like 16 at this point. And it's like wat the fuck lol. No matter how much the way that I see music have changed. This, the only season of AI that sticks with my childhood is always incredible, they were truly amazing singers.

I mean Philip Phillips?? how possible is that?? it annoys me till date.. how could in house politics rob this boy of what he worked so hard for?? nobody deserved it more than him...
