Das ist unglaublich! 🙀😱 Now I want to see if the instrument survives inside a Musafia Case (Violin & Viola) and a Bogaro Case (Case). I'm sure both Mr Dimitri and Signore Vittorio will love it!
My concern is about water damage - I was actually quite surprised that you are not wrapping with saran wrap. The cardboard will withstand some rain, but in the Winter, between exposure to even 5 minutes of hard rain at the destination airport, staying wet throughout the flight will further extend the structural weaknesses of the cardboard) and at the destination- still a risk of rough-handling at the airport and in transit through multiple trucks and warehouses + perhaps more exposure to rain. Otherwise- as everyone said- very impressive!!!
Hi, impressive! It seems that Olga the Destroyer of mail will not be able to hurt your violins. IMO more violins are destroyed by shipment than dropped by their owners. Looks like you have a good shipment system, congratulations.
I am in the US and play the cello. I would fly to Cremona, have a nice visit, pick up the cello and buy an extra seat for it on the airplane. I’d have the sales receipt and invoice mailed home and save on import duties, which would help pay for the trip. - Especially if it is a Master instrument.
Clever thrift. Plus you'd have all the stories of carrying it through the airport, and speaking to strangers about your new instrument. Politely explain to the traveler in seat 12C that this is its first and only time flying so please just accept that it needs a window seat thank you.
Another very impressive and convincing video. Congrats, Maestro Edgar! (I though hope the violin is from the Aldi shelf . Is the sound post still standing?)
I'll be honest. I closed my eyes when Maestro dropped the violin from the bridge. Fully expecting some damages on the scroll or c bout. But damn! That box is really impressive.
Please don’t do it with your Master Violins, we are convinced with this test 😅😅. It’s really impressive how much damage it can take, couldn’t have believed if someone told me.
I wish your next vid is about droping a violin into my mail box. Not as safe as one could think since music instrument basically absorb the soul of it's owner :)
Reasonably I know this experiment will end in success because why else would you have chosen that shipping design method, But that doesn't do anything to reduce my nerves in the moment everytime the package is jostled 😨😰
Hello, i am a cellist player based in Ireland. Last year July 2022 i lost my job and went homeless and by this i lost all my belongings including my cello. Right now things has changed since i am receiving social welfare payment. I was wondering if it would be posible to purchase a cello by weekly payments from Ireland to Italy or whatever idea you may have.
That is really a great package. The suspension between the plastic is so simple and effective.
I can attest to this. My violin arrived here in the US. Only the bridge had a little tilt. I thought it was very clever packaging.

I can't believe you would go this far, Edgar. I am totally convinced. Congratulations.

Amazing! Buying an extra seat was saving you? How much was the seat?
It's missing a test of rain and something heavy on it. Those are the most common problems. I already had both!😢

Great packaging! But you should have tuned the violin first. Then you could check if it is still even tuned after the shock...

Me too! Iv got lots of ideas for turning my mailbox into a great testing instrument.
Where can I buy this box?

WoW! Wie heisst denn dieses Verpackungmaterial?
What's the name of that packaging material?
Fun video, haha - what about the soundpost?
Rattling inside the violin, I guess.

😥😰
I’ll bet USPS could destroy it.
Hope that's not the one we just received 😉
Such a genius 🎢 just wow! Your shipping method is just the best
