- This was an exciting day for filming world-class helicopters at the American Heroes Airshow 2022. Firefighters, search and rescue teams, law enforcement officials and members of the United States military were honored for their heroic service throughout Southern California. Beautiful fall weather brought warm temperatures and a clear blue sky which made for a super nice day for attendees and photographers alike.
There was an amazing variety of helicopters on display, including three Sikorsky S-70i Fire Hawks, an AgustaWestland Leonardo AW139 and a Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma. Cockpits and cabins were accessible while crew members extended the professional courtesy of showing special features of their helicopters to attendees.
Aero Suite 360 would like to thank all of our heroes who valiantly serve their communities in the various support roles. We are very fortunate to have these courageous leaders who put their lives on the line when responding to natural disasters, medical emergencies and law enforcement. They deserve our full support and recognition!
I was honored in being chosen to join a select group of aviation photographers for this event. We were granted the exclusive privilege of close-up access to helicopter arrivals and walkarounds before the start of the airshow. I am looking forward to attending this event next year!

A lot of serious metal out there in service. I can remember the "Old Days" when having a Jet Ranger was a big deal!
Yes, it is truly amazing how far they have come with helicopters. I too remember the days when the Bell Jet Ranger and the Hughes 500 arrived on the scene. They remain as two of my favorites. Thanks for watching EJ!
