I really didn't see that line coming,MONTY PYTHON truly were the masters of off-the-wall humour.The fact that this was the punch-line to a joke supposedly told while the Queen of England may have been watching just made it that much more demented.
The reference to the queen at the end is great. And touching in a way. Does the playing of the national anthem still command this sort of respect today I wonder? In the US in the early 60's we did that sort of thing in the public schools, most certainly a carryover from Victorian times and something to impress our grandparents ultimately. That sort of respect for the fabric of our nation is something that would seem lacking today.
