i work at an opticians ( not an optician and yes, it’s boring as shit ) we do sell blue light glasses at our work place, but our head optician has told us to advice people not to waste their money, you can get anti glare / reflection glasses which do work, but if you don’t currently wear glasses it probably doesn’t make a difference, they’re mostly for removing the screen glare that causing screen on the lens of your glasses, so if you don’t need glasses they don’t really do much they only thing you can get that does actually kind of work, if you get classes with a yellow tint to them, it reduces the harsh blue lights from your screens which can help reduce the effect of screens on your retinas, but when you’re playing for as long as you do, tbh again it just doesn’t really matter, if you’re only on screens 5/6 hours a day or if you play right before you sleep they’re helpful, otherwise meh don’t bother if you’re getting eye strain, take a break every 2-3 hours for about 10 minuets, and do this short practise that involves looking at something really close up for 2 minuets, then something out your window far away for 2 minuets, and repeat for 10-15 and it massively helps train your eyes, they’re muscles so if you work them out they work better, bout the only thing you can do that will actually work lmao
I work as an IT Manager and game on the side. Blue light glasses are 100% worth. I suffer from chronic migraines since a kid and take a shot monthly for it and the glasses help maintain them as well and you don't feel as tired and head heavy after staring at a monitor for so long.

ive been using blue light glasses since 2016 the only thing i can say is the screen definitely doesn't seem as bright in your eyes and makes it a little easier on the eyes if your playing for like 16 hours a day. i don't play nearly as much as i did back then but now i just have the blue light on my regular glasses so when i go outside its less hazardous for the eyes. i do also recommend getting transitional glasses instead of blue light as they do the same thing but less expense. 20:16
