I dont think this speaker has distortion that is noticeable and the loudness is sufficient for a 16w but the bass isnt boomy due to single bass radiator. That's is. You are missing the bass, not loudness.

Listening this in my tribit x sound go. 😂 . Muffled or distorted sound?? no problem so far in my unit. Working perfectly even with full volume . Bass is good ,it doesn't overpower the other frequencies. As an audio phile i can recommend these.
