  • What an epic ride! One of the most challenging rides I've done so far. I started at the West Bragg Creek trailhead. Climbed from there up Rangers Summit, descended down Snakes and Ladders, cut across from Ridgeback and Mountain Road to the bottom of Moosepackers where I then climbed to the summit (as far as bikes are allowed) of Moose Mountain. After that I descended back down the double track to the start of Special K. Special K is a lot steeper than what I normally ride so that was a fun challenge with tired legs! Ran into a pretty big moose about halfway down so took a bushwack detour to avoid it hahah. From there I cut over to climb back up Bobcat and then descended back down to the West Bragg Parking lot on Strange Brew (didn't film that descent). All in all it was a long, tough ride that I probably underestimated but I always wanted to try and climb up to the top of Moose Mountain so I was happy about it! About 42km with nearly 1800m of climbing.

No bikes to the summit. Wonder why is it not rideable?

I've never been past that sign but it looks like it gets pretty exposed and sketchy. I'm sure it's for safety reasons
