Yes and no - they scrapped Reporting Scotland and replaced it with Scotland Sixty Minutes, only to bring it back in September 1984. In the period between the Sixty Minutes ending and the start of the Six O’Clock News in September 1984, the evening programme was just called “ The Scottish News “ which had always been the title for the shorter bulletins ( at that point ).
