Ghana is now democratic and stable because those Ghanaians who hate dictatorship fought for it. The "democracy" Rawlings understood was violence. Remember his infamous quote, "democratization of violence? Whatever that meant. What he could never have achieved by the power of his brain he resorted to violence. Somebody said, "any fool with a gun can rule". His legacy is the violent spirit that his party supporters have now. Always threatening and intimidating as if they are the only bold men in Ghana. Let anyone repeat '79 and '82 again and see if we will sit quietly for anyone to confiscate our properties, distroy our businesses, sell our merchandise "donkomi", beat us up including the elderly, strip our women naked and whip their vaginas, even kill us. NO, NO MORE. Now some of us have guns too. The only thing that tilted the balance that time was the gun, and yes some of us now have it, and we are ready to prove that we are MEN too. After all that nonsensical enterprise we came back to square one, back to democracy, the rule of law. So what was the point in that lenthy and expensive experiment?
