My mother tongue is hindi and trust me I understood word by word what sabyasachi and pandit ji have said. Odia sunne mein bahut madhur lagti hai.
Pure pali and Sanskrit mix language. Many people relate it with Bengali but it is not that much close to bengali
Not much difference bro between these two languages.If u ever come on a visit to Odisha u would surprised to see the love for hindi of the Odia people and how easy they r while they communicate with North Indian people.

I also love different indian languages and even i listened narayaneeyam frm yesudas its very beutiful.
