    Very impressed that this TH-cam man takes the time to answer questions. Alot don't.
    Good for you. I don't have an electric golf cart yet, but may someday. Right now i came here because an aircraft tug vehicle with similar battery setup has taken a dive in a few months of non-use and coupled with weird extreme cold in the deep south. When I say extreme, I mean EXTREME ! January 2024.
    I'm confident your instructions will work great! Thank you

    Thanks for showing as it is helpful. My golf cart is club cart 36 volts with 6 batteries. Will that also applicable if I plug in the charger, and the reading for 1 of the battery is more than 6.5v or less? My batteries reading without the charger are from 6.2 to 6.5 volts range for each. Thanks for help.

      Your batteries are low. What I am saying, is when the charger is running, and 1 of your batteries voltage us twice as much as the others, then that battery is bad.

      I am no longer a fan of watering systems, after seeing batteries blow up due to gas fumes getting trapped inside the hoses.
      My best advice is to install a lithium battery set up.
      Next, just the normal 3 in 1, or 4 in 1 caps that normally come with the batteries.
      You can easily reach those rear holes with a Hudson sprayer like I show in my video.

      No video, none needed. If you need to replace a battery, being careful, flip tow switch to tow, remove the 2 cables going to the bad battery, and lift the bad battery out. Then drop in the new battery and rehook up the 2 wires. Just don't let the 2 wires touch anything or each other.

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some things don't sound right here. First if your batteries are at zero volts, they won't trigger your charger to Come on.
      And if you have 6 batteries at 12 volt each, that's 72 volts.
      Exactly what type of golf cart do you have?
      When was the last time the cart was driven and last time it was fully charged?

    I have a 36 volt ezgo, time for new battery, been thinking of of with 3 12volts, do you loose in the way of distance and performance this way? Say with 12 volt marine deep cycle battery.

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      DO NOT USE MARINE BATTERIES FOR A GOLF CART!!
      they will only last 2 years max, and your distance sucks.
      If you have 6. 6 Volt batteries right now , totaling 36 Volts , and want to replace them with 3. 12 volt batteries you can do that but your distance will diminish because 6 batteries has more lead than 3. 12 volt batteries

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Here is my answer, I would say if the set of batteries are all the same age, and are 3 years old or more, then change all at the same time.
      Anytime you only change 1 or 2 batteries only, the remaining batteries will pull the new batteries down to their level. Therfore the new batteries will have their life lessened.
      Now if your set is say 2 years old and 1 battery goes bad, then yes just replace that battery. And if you do, try to find a used battery about the same age, or if not , you have to buy a new one.
