Fun Fact: The turtles at 4:18 is because people often throw bread into the water and feed them.

Actually part of Sengkang garden is under renovation/ construction/ expansion, so it does seem a little small.
However if you are able to maneuver, it is connected to the 'Punggol waterway park', which ends quite far and deep to one 'Coney Island', which is essentially an 'islet' if I'm not mistaken.
Other parks would be the 'Hort Park, Henderson Park, Kranji nature trail, etc. Hope you all like them, and welcome to Singapore.

Thanks for the information! Also for the recommendations! We haven't been to Kranji but it looks very nice! I think we walked through Hort when we did the Southern Ridges. All very nice parks!

This is part of NParks’ & PUB’s joint effort in bringing us nice cool water bodies. It’s under the ABC (Active, Beautiful & Clean) Water project. A lot of former canals were converted & spruced up to look natural especially if it was part of a river. One of the first such project is the Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park where the start of Kallang river traverse through as a little stream. This park has matured very well and well maintained. It stretches from junction of Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 / Bishan Road to Upper Thomson Road / Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 and divided into 2 parts by Marymount Road. U may want to explore it to enjoy its serenity, biodiversity, different types of birds, ponds, etc.
