Probably one of the cleanest and nicest XJ's i've seen. If i didn't have to spend so much money on gas i'd be able to go up another 3 inches with mine lol.
wow what a nice jeep.
this is exactly what i wish i could have.
01 cherokee, 6 1/2 inch long arm lift.
and i love all the extras on it.
great job man
nice. i didnt know you had a video up. im from cherokee forum, been reading your build forever haha. xj4life. nice stuff. i just searched xj long arm haha. cant wait for the new video!!
Precisely the jeep i'm building. the price on those long arm kits are really reasonable too!
This XJ gives me goosebumps.
@rudedogii No issues, I already had a Rubicon Express Slip Yoke Eliminator installed on my transfer case. Thats all you need.
no vibrations at all and I can drive it up to 80 MPH. more than that is just not safe. lol
Pinion angles front and rear are perfect as well!
@TheSmilinace thanks for the awesome comment dude.
:)
I wanted to see this FLEXXX!!!!
Which didnt really happen.
...So I just hung out listening to Sonne, which is a great song.
@Adrian00702 could fit 35's but 33's will flex a lot more, and no rubbing issues at all
@Fr0z3nFr0g thanks bro! :) it was just a little vid after finishing the lift kit. I hope to be going up to NH next weekend on the 10th
Best Cherokee Sport ive seen. I love the jeep cherokee sport xj. its the only jeep ill ever drive.. and yea ill pay any price for a lifted jeep with bushwackers 6.5 inch long arm kit..and nice tires and rims.. i dont have one yet but i will soon. LOVED your jeep btw..
@konadude92 no complaints at all, best customer service I ever have seen and others can say the same. Best long arm lift kit for the money.
I opted to sell the shocks and get the Bilsteins to just make it that much better.
Whats not to love! :)
Solid parts, great price.!
no hassle.
thanks bro. I am sold on Rough Country.
@the63man not sure never checked, can't be good with 33's and stock gears. but I am rebuilding a ford 8.8 and re-gearing all around. so that should help.
but i don't really care about gas mileage, it's a Jeep. Sure it probably sucks, but it will take me far into some awesome off road adventures.! :)
Lookin good! I love the dif cover...
nice lift sweet ride, doing a 8 inch rustys, not long arm, on my 91 2 door soon
@kauaiboy89 the bushings sucked but they replaced them twice for me free so far.
I love the ride quality and the way it feels onroad and off.
when my new set of bushings fail someday I may upgrade them at that point with some currie johnny joints.
Love your Jeep, mate. You have a great look there: clearly a lot of heart has gone into your build (and a fair bit of cash, too!). I just exported my 2000 4.0l XJ to Sri Lanka from the UK - have an ARB lift, but it's not going to be easy getting mods here. Two questions (if you don't mind). Do you have lockers and how come no snorkel?
hey man awesome jeep man!!! keep up the good work! :)
@Clayton130813 I really like it, it worked out great. Just had to dirtch the front shocks because they limited droop. went with bilsteins all around.
best cherokee video i have seen where can i get just the lower arms i have 6.5 inchs and need adjustable arms and thought i would just go ahead and do long arms
@Danro05 No not yet man... Soon I hope, soon...
@th3s41nt thanks bro I like yours a lot as well.
I am saving up for some lockers and I also have a Ford 8.8 with discs that I am rebuilding now with 4:10 gears front and rear. its mild but will do me good
sweet jeep,rammstien,im happy :)
Hey Brian, Looks good! Did you have any driveline issues?
@SWAT487 My front shocks are longer so my axle can "droop" out a LOT. and trust me it does.! :) more Flex my friend.
If anyone has there JK lift you need to change out there trackbar drop bracket before it breaks on you like mine did yesterday on the way home and almost caused a head on collision. I called David with RC and he did not even care about there faulty product I am going to post a vid showing the pics and also send a letter to Perterson's 4wheel off road mag so they can write an article about it. Ive done alot of research on the JK forum and I am not the only person this has happend to.
@mrpaperchase71 33x12.5x15 :) thanks!
@CrossmanM it cost me 1200 when it first came out. but I see they sell it for 1500 now i believe.
pure beauty !
Awesome XJ! What is the brand of your rear bar & tire carrier? Cheers.
damn that thing is siick. thats a clean jeep, to bad your to far from me. im planning on a hollister trip in the next few weeks.
Damn nice jeep, so how do u like the rough country long arm lift?
Sweet XJ! How does the Long Arm setup handle on highways? I'm looking at getting the new 6.5" suspension from RC (Their new shocks and X-Flex joints look pretty good) but I still want to use it for some highway use so I don't know if I should just go with the long arm or short arms and a drop kit. Oh, and how are the IPF headlight conversions? I'm sick of my crappy stock style headlamps
Looks good man.
Love the music. if you read this or anyone that has or has had RC springs. Are they good? worth it or buy other brand?
the jeeps lookin good man but how your gas milage?
____
@bdaddy23 thats what i am thinking about after i get a daley friver, cutting alittle behinde the doors
Shocks or springs? They have new shocks and I've heard that they are decent (but not even comparable to something like Fox or Bilstein) and I know for a fact that their springs are a bit stiff and have a bit of a rough ride (but nothing too bad, just a little stiffer than stock)
@Scorch1007 thanks!
@bdaddy23 damn. lucky!! haha. have fun!! you better make a video of it!!
Looks awesome! Now hurry up and build a scale version lol
when can we expect a 1/10 scale version of your 1:1?!?!?!?
do you think you could fit 35's with that lift and the flares, or would the 33's work the best and give you the most flex?
would you say 33's are good enough or would you ever step it up to 35's? i'm asking because i seem to always find myself high centered on my diff with both of my cherokee's and i dont know weather to go with 33's or 35's on my 6" long arm i just ordered
How did you get those lights on the side of the windshield? i cant find mounts anywhere!
@bdaddy23 ok cool will do hhahahaha im getting a jeep just like yours except im gonna get a 2 door jeep xj its gonna be cool ill post it around January
Thanks again
nice jeep, what size tires are they
@yjmoneypit I love 2 doors.
Maybe I will get one of those next time around.
turn it into a truck. :)
lol
@phill1488 I love them.
can i get a list of bumpers and armor and drivetrain mods please
not judging you but i have heard rough country and tuff country are pretty shitty lifts , i think ill save up for a fabtech there like $900 for a 4 inch
also i heard rough countrys are very stiff is that true
@crazyshark123456789 sorry for late reply I Love it, I did not use the RC shocks I hear they suck. Also my bushings wore out but RC gave me all new ones of there new design. so far so good. they also changed the kit (for the better) a little since i bought it. sucks to be me haha
just kidding I love it still. I finally got the money for a lift kit then this one came out so I pre ordered it. :)
@Chris3571234 i heard that too many years ago, Now they are getting better and the quality of my long arm kit is amazing and beefy. You can still get crappy rough country lift kits but this is not a cheap RC lift kit , this is the best one they offer and in many peoples opinion it is a very capable setup. It does amazing. Check out my new sit brians4x4life I posted a few new videos
@jdmtom1 thrush glass pack
Der Sonne scheint aus mein Arsch
whAT rear bumper is that
what songs is this?
ive broke mine too they dont care i tried talkin to them too
dumb ? but what kind of mpg you think youd get?
they are made by rock lizard and no longer made. sorry
detours off road hardware makes them
@732coltkr3w732 they are great but suck in the snow... lol
oh come on atleast flex it out
woah, in the song he skipped 10... just sayin
