That D&RGW 5 chime would go PERFECT with our Sierra Railway #2 at Railtown 1897! I think we bought a Southern 3 chime from you for her a couple years ago. We got it on this season. But I wish they'd have heard this one first!
@slowpoke1020 no, actually that was red McMillion in the heisler in 1980...Red was coming around the bend on the durbin line and laid into that SP...theres another one in these series with artie at the cord...thanks for your comments!!
First off, its "Nathan" Second, it is a Nathan. The C&O and Nathan used the same whistle patterns. The C&O's had bad casting patterns. This particular whistle in the sound clip was damaged, and turned down on a lathe. Hence the sound here.
ok listen, depending on the engineer, none of the whistles at cass stay the same, they ALWAYS change....the whistle you heard in the clip is a Modified C&O 6 chime, very close to the reading 6 chimes used on SRC 90, thanks for watching..
@thewvnetwork matt, famous people dont ask people if they can give out thier autographs...and plus i already have your autograph from that little note u sent me!!!!!!
jordan cavinee yes I understand that, but it is still higher pitched than the one in the video. The one in the video sounds too deep to be even a MODIFIED 6 chime
