Okay so this is how I interpreted the story: Every time they're walking backwards, it means we're rewinding to a previous relationship. Every time they're walking forward, it means they're moving toward their next relationship. Note that some of these relationships could be going on at the same time, so they're not in a strict chronological order. At the end, we see the main couple in bed together, but the blue haired girl was moving backward, so this is the past. The story is a circle. In the scene right before that, when she's walking alone, she might have been contemplating the breakup we see at the beginning. In this timeline, the last scene is actually BEFORE the first scene. When he looks at the camera at the end, it feels like he knows something is gonna happen. He feels something is off in the relationship, but when she wakes him up and holds him, he's temporarily reassured; it's sad because we see that his intuition was actually right. Chronologically, the most recent scene in the video would be him walking with the girl in the blue sweater/black jacket. The video is about the cycle of romance, how love is ignited, then burns out. But still, life goes on, and those experiences still mean something even if they're in the past. I found it very bittersweet but also beautiful.
also, the main guy in the MV was the lead actor in Signal, which is a kdrama based around solving cases with a detective back in time (and was one of the most watched cable kdramas). I think they intended to strengthen that point with him being in the MV.

And the actors were so awesome, especially the last 2 couples (black haired couple on the bus, and silver haired woman with happy man on the bed), their acting was absolutely magical!
